One of the best old school type prawn noodle . Even though price has gone up to 4/5 dollars, it is worth every dollar you spelling. Be prepared to q for 15-20mins at least.
The benchmark for a good bowl of basic prawn noodle . Established since 1948, that's 70 years of recipe passed down to the current generation.
This is their $5 as is. Packed with lots of flavours. The fried shallots adds sweetness & crunch
Prices have gone up (again); it’s now $5 or $6. Additional ingredients is +$2. For a $5 bowl, consider ordering the $6 size & ask for less noodles
Soup tastes diluted but tasty and retains its prawn-y scent. Me feels there's too much MSG; my tongue was still tingling 45mins after the meal
The dry version has so much flavour from the sauce mix and fried shallots .
Best time to visit is before 10am before the lunch crowd appears. Average waiting time 10-15mins. They open as early as 5am. After 10am be prepared to wait 30mins or more! Table number required!
