Must go to if in nyc. Great food: rock shrimp in lettuce, duck spring roll , New York sirloin with mushrooms , cod/Seabass. Don't get the huge fortune cookie unless you like fruits . It tastes okay.
My husband & I came here to celebrate special day & this place was a cherry on top of a cake ! We left being very happy with the food (10/10). Jumbo shrimp & chicken dmplin, Blk Sea bass , fortune cooki
Great ambiance and music ! The food was delicious, with large, filling portions. Best dishes were the Kung Pao Chicken , and the Yellowtail Sashimi special dish. Very friendly staff ; reasonably priced.
Amazingly beautiful and chic place to hang out. Huge bar with nice music . Very very crowded during peak hours. Love their orange and kung pao chicken and miso sea bass .
Absolutely hopping! The veg . fried brown rice ,the miso seabass are my repeats but you can't go wrong w/ others on the menu ..portions are a tad huge (compared to nobu or zuma) staff is attentive
Tao Uptown is such NYC staple. It's been around for a while, but everything about it is just flawless. TAO never disappoints! It is a more upscale restaurant but you definitely get what you pay for!
Great for people watching , mingling, drinks and the food is also pretty good. I come here for the big statue ambiance, and impressive decorations. Great for groups and for out of towners.
Really cool spot with great eats. I really liked the gyoza , tempura shrimp & other small plates we got. Also enjoyed the fried rice & orange chicken
In general, I love lychee martini . I hate it in the morning after a hangover... Try mochi 👌🏼 or giant fortune cookie . Duck is awesome. Outstanding sushi .
I've been to alot of the famous New York restaurants , but this one is undoubatly the best. I always go for the Pad Thai and Orange chicken .
This place is bumping! Though it is pretty pricey , the food really is delicious and it is worth going to experience the amazing atmosphere. Recommend the shrimp tempura roll and lobster dumplings !
Amazing atmosphere. The food was okay- but the dessert was fantastic! Definitely must try the big fortune cookie . Wish the filling was all vanilla mousse though.
Went here for my 30th birthday meal - gorgeous menu perfect for sharing. Sushi is out of this world. Get the choc cake with coconut ice cream for dessert
Chicken satay , vegi dumpling , sweet onion rings , shrimp and lobster spring rolls 4 starter were amazing couldn't have enough of them. Main course was pecking duck ! Desert jumbo fortune Cooke! Ur set!
The hosts in the front are absolutely the worst. The food is delicious and the rest of the restaurant staff were excellent, especially the wait and bartending staff . Try the spicy tuna roll .
Midtown TAO is adding a dim sum brunch , with carts, stuff lit on fire, dumplings , & its sake bomb plunger. Try the Royal Rickshaw (the on-fire cocktail ) and their quirky-shaped dumplings . Read more
start with TAO temple salad , rock shrimp lettuce cups and sushi , for main course I recommend vegetable noodles , crispy orange chicken with jasmine white rice !
Shrimp & lobster spring roll , squab lettuce cup both awesome and more than enough for 1 person. Washed down with fab glass of Sancerre . Lovely bar tender as well , hope she enjoys her trip to Vietnam!
I love the menu all around. Some of my faves - pad thai , the cod / sea bass (whatever the call it), dim sum . Atmosphere is ok - a bit too trendy for my taste. I did like the giant budha
The jumbo shrimp tempura , ladies and gentlemen, the jumbo shrimp tempura...Try the chilean sea bass , chicken dumplings , coconut shrimp , kung pao chicken and the fried rice with beef~off-menu special
Those dishes: Salmon Sashimi with Avocado , Crispy Onions , Sweet Spicy Sesame Sauce (if you've got a strong stomach for raw fish ). However, the pad Pad Thai noodles is a must.
First time I came to Tao was years ago. I've come here for dinners , drinks, CLUB and recently dim sums (Sundays) I like this place a lot. It does get loud at dinner time though.
The entire menu has something for everyone! The tartare was great. The main dishes were prepared with care. I had the snapper with bok choy , excellent!!
I’ve been here a few times and it’s been excellent each time. Great food, service and buzzy atmosphere
Get the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass with Wok Vegetables . It's absolutely amazing!!!! It melts in your mouth and has just the right kick of flavor. Supposedly people travel to Tao JUST for this dish!
Lovely place for dinner . rolls were ok! Cong paw chicken was good. Chilean seabass was best.
Never disappoints. Consistent quality, amazing atmosphere, delicious food at any location. The seared runs along with spicy tune tartare on crispy rice were standouts.
I love that they deliver . Fantastic, fresh and creative sushi options. Try the sauteed vegetable/udon side dish that they offer. It was really good!
Great for groups , lychee martini cocktails are strong but good taste. Sushi is delicious, very well portions.
Lychee martini to start , Spicy Tuna Tartare on Crispy Rice is to die for!!!! an end with the most amazing Chilean sea bass or coconut shrimp ! It's the most flavorful thing in the world!! :)
The gigantic fortune cookie with two kinds of mousse inside was actually so good. It's very home made style.
Crispy orange chicken , sirloin with mushrooms , and fried rice with peking duck . The best dim sum : pork spring rolls
We created our own tasting menu , and everything was superb! Service was timely and professional, it wasn't loud , and the food was indescribably delicious. Five stars!
Their pork fried rice with a fried egg on top is amazing. For drinks, I like the ruby red dragon !
Consistently good, great scene. The Tempura vegetables , coconut shrimp , sea bass and kobe rib eye , lobster fried rice , for dessert the apple blossoms and chocolate spring roll are my favs.
The combination of good food, decent drinks and amazing atmosphere never fails :> also don't forget their awesome chocolate cake with coconut ice cream for dessert ! xx enjoy!
Amazing place! Try the chilean sea bass , duck rolls , lychee martini and for dessert the giant fortune cookie
You can't go wrong with their spicy tuna tartare on crispy rice and soy ginger glazed salmon !
Try a Tao-Tiny at the bar upstairs while waiting for your table! Live music and very nice atmosphere! Pad Thai was good and sushi rolls were yummy! The fortune cookie dessert was great!
The big golden statue and the lively atmosphere make this a fun place to visit. Haven't been recently but it's time to go back. http://www.mecritic.com/places/place/6113/Tao
Lobster kimchi fried rice is classic and the wasabi filet was a unique take on a great steak . Recommended.
Everything about this place is on point from the decor to the food to the attentive staff . 💯
Wasabi Crusted Filet Mignon was amazing!!!! The love potion #9 was delicious!! I need to find out how to make that drink at home because I in love! The doughnuts and the chocolate cake to die for (:
Total B&T scene, great ambiance ruined by sub-par food, comme si comme ca service - helps if you drink enough to disregard all. Budakkan across the street is consistently superior, food-wise.
Tao is awesome i go there all the time. The sea bass is a must. However the last time i was there. My card got lost and they found out the manager accidentally took it home with him...not cool
Fun scene, love the Buddha overlooking the dining area. Late night on weekends the music is amazing here. Try the Wasabi Encrusted Filet with Onion Ring stack here, it is exquisite.
The decor is beautiful and food is yummy too. The giant fortune cookie is so cute and usually has a dirty fortune :)
During the holidays, make sure to ask for the lunch special menu .. they seem to "forget" to give it to you, trying to get you to purchase off of the full menu
Chilean seabass satay was probably the best thing I've ever eaten, our table was in heaven!! We shared lots of small plates and appetizers . Fantastic food and beautiful place.
Howd they get that buddha in there? Helicopter? Built around it? Pieces? Urban lore! - David Cohen
Nice food and a wonderful environment! Great sushi and the most bizarre potato plate I've seen! - Giorgos Kousteridis
Among many household favorites (Chicken Satay, Jade Dumplings and Crispy Chicken) the Beijing Chicken is one of the most succulent dishes offered at Philippe. - 2 Dine Out
Great spot for dinner, very comforting but elegant food! Will be back - Jay Sekulow
very nice design store , very good costumer service and 24 hours open! 😍👍🏼 - SA
