It is expensive but also the best department store in New York. Say you want to buy jeans , it is convenient to try many jeans from different brands in one go. Sales stuff is consistently helpful.

The store that most embodies New York is Saks Fifth Avenue. There’s so much history wrapped up in that brand! And the shoe department is so big, it literally has its own zip code .

It doesn't get more "New York" than this store! The place is huge with brands for everyone no matter your taste! The workers treat you like royalty & will bend over backwards to satisfy you! Love it!

Saks Fifth Avenue features a choreographed combination of 305,735 LED light nodes, wash lights and mini LED lights. This display takes 6 weeks to install. The show runs every 10 minutes each night.

If you need to use the restroom , both the men's and the women's lounges are on the 4th floor. (Men's just off the north elevator bank . Women's in the back NW corner of the building.)

Canada Goose is on the 8th floor .

Classic department store on Fifth Ave. During the holidays stop by for the light show which starts every hour. It's right across from Rock Center so you can do that and see the tree .

Great place to shop, Patricia J. on the 4th floor is the best. She's amazing and can pick out a beautiful ensemble according to the type of function you mention to her without you being there.

Check out the holiday treatments on the side of the building as well as the window displays. They change quite a bit each year.

Louboutin boutique with the brand's entire collections is on 8th floor . When the madison ave location is closed on Sundays, come to this location.

This is one of our favorite shopping destinations in NYC. They also have our favorite windows during the holidays. And they have the nicest public restrooms .

After browsing through three floors and seeing about 20 sales associates, one nice young man on the seventh floor finally acknowledged us. We did, however, see them interacting plenty with each other.

Women's lounge on 4th floor=great place for breastfeeding , with two small couches . Make sure you go to the correct lounge : past Lafayette and to the right (the other lounge only has toilet stalls).

Came here to get a new pair of sunglasses. More of a touristic location and less of a boutique-like shopping experience. Prefer the Saks in Beverly Hills compares to this one.
