Our girls love it, but I have fun here too. We design dresses on the mannequins, paint the scenes of Charlton St at the easels in the window. The spinning chairs in the Swirl Studio are a favorite.
Awesome place for discovery. An afternoon will pass in a blink. The tactile experience of flubber, clay, play dough , dot art , paints and all the special classes are well worth it. Amazing for all!
Really fun child centered museum where kids can play with every type of art material and jump in a giant ball room.
Thurs pay what you wish from 4 to 6. Hands on painting and crafting, love this place. Try to get on waiting list for clay or sound studio while you are there.
If your kid is into arts and crafts, this is the museum to take them in all of NYC. Great activities: painting , collage, drawing, building, etc
My seven year old nephew had a fantastic time! He made some nice art in a variety of mediums, got to learn, and enjoyed almost four hours here.
This museum is full of amazing art that uses every day objects. Love these portraits made of crayons!
On busy days (like school holidays in winter) the museum will hit capacity and you'll have to wait to enter -- unless you called ahead and got your name on the wait list . We did this and breezed in!
Chinese New Year Festival is definitely well worth the trip! Clay bar and painting studio are pretty amazing. Our kids had a great time for over four hours...
