The food is way better than you'd expect in a tourist hot spot like this. You must try the crab cakes , they are amazing. I encountered some really great staff too.
Every dish I tried was amazing! The onion soup , the truffle oil wild mushroom flat bread , the trout and the NY steak ! Phenomenal!
Eggs Benedict with lump crabs meat is really good. Loved the side salad . Mimosa were outrageously overpriced if which I did not realize until I got my check ($12 each).
No matter where you sit, you’ll find well-executed pâtés and terrines , exquisite salads and soups , and main courses that are models of elegant simplicity. If only the service had the same polish.
Cool spot and you sometimes see famous people there. I bumped into Joel McHale. He was really nice. Awesome location!!!
Seriously one of the best meals I’ve ever had, with a superb wine list .
The food was delicious. We had the steak and the filet. The cherry blossom champagne was definitely worth trying!
Comfy coffee bar to stop off at after viewing the White House for a French cap or a latte & a palmier.
Great place to dine any time of day. Lovely outside terrace when it's sunny
The service and food are great. I enjoyed the Belgian waffles (sans berries ). They were delicious.
Wonderfully French. Great place to go when you're missing Paris.
Great place to have a cup of coffee and see people passing by!
One of the finest dines in town .. No dress code is required though..
Just lovely. And the best croque Monsieur I've ever had.
From Eater DC: free corkage on Mondays, $35 per bottle the rest of the weeks
The outdoor seating is excellent for people watching and spotting the political type.
Ratatouille is vegan and vegetarian , but don’t get it if you don’t like aubergine/eggplant!
Best breakfast ever! Eat here if you're staying at the Willard
Michel Richard, chef of Central, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Gâteau de crabe façon "Westermann". Read more
A nice place to remind about cafe trottoir in Paris
Excellent wine by the glass (try the Cotes-du-Rhone), Tarte Alsacienne, and leave room for dessert .
Great breakfast and great service.
I would skip the pancakes and French toast . Wrong bread for French toast
Eggs Benedict
The place to remind you of cafe in Paris
Croque-monsieur is the best thing on the lunch menu by far.
Next door to the White House this is a great place to discuss business over breakfast
Fantastic place, food was delicious (try the mussels ), service a little slow tho and inattentive.
Breakfast buffet is a must.
They serve illy's coffee <3
Extremely unimpressive french restaurant , the amazing outside seating area is the only highlight in this overpriced spot. Service was spotty & food good but not great, tiny portions.
Sit outside on a nice day
Great breakfast buffet .
The pancakes were good, eggs were all-right the only real complaint was the bacon was cold. Giovanni our waiter ruined our experience by seeming bothered by my switch from bacon to sausage
A good spot for breakfast .
Great service upstairs but not so much downstairs. I recommend having the mashed potatoes .
Breakfast buffet in the Marriott across the street is much better and only $2 more
Pricey but good food, for me the service was fine. French onion soup was surprisingly disappointing, but everything else was great!
The most amazing dessert e-v-e-r : saint honore
Excellent.
They serve illy coffee ! Have the cappuccino .
Food was perfect but service was not that good
Great breakfast buffet on weekend. Small but delicious.
Lobster sandwich is delicious!

Lovely spot for a private mtg in the cafe
