Roots is AMAZING! You are treated like family, because to the owners of Roots, Amanda and Christian, you are! The coffee is great the food is tasty and the place just oozes good vibes!
The iced salted caramel almond milk latte is the best iced coffee I've ever had. The loaded grits are okay although I personally prefer more salt and pepper . The grilled cheese on multigrain is good.

Not the fastest place, but everything is tasty and everyone's so nice here it's crazy. Like a cozy living room for the community. Take your time. Eat a coffee and drink a sandwich . Chillllllllll.
Wonderful Independent coffeeshop.. probably the best prices in the entire neighborhood . The art on the walls is lovely, and the sofa invites to linger.
???? There's a secret garden in the back with a table of toys for kids
The egg and cheese burrito (get it with all three!) is the best breakfast is south slope . And everyone's so friendly . A real neighborhood joint.

Breakfast burrito with cheesy grits and a cup of coffee . Tip generously because their prices are so good and the people are so cool.

Dirty chai is delicious and the staff is great! Cozy spot to relax and read.
You can find the Blue Sky Bakery 's incredibly addictive banana bread here and they cut more generous portions of it than other places.
