Easy to miss this place. They don't advertise how incredible their coffee is. They just have it. Great breakfast sandwiches too.
Incredible sandwiches and pastries . Their namesake sandwich is my go-to, but don’t stop at that; they make even the seemingly-mundane classics into something special. Eat everything.
Photographer Sam Horine calls it "a unicorn" (we're surprised he's not the Mayor). A knowledgeable , unpretentious staff . Pro tip: Sunday morning they do homemade cinnamon buns and bacon cheddar buns .
A rotating cast of super-high-quality roasters, including most recently Counter Culture Coffee , 49th Parallel and George Howell's Terroir, fill out the very simple, espresso-heavy menu.
Impossible to go wrong. Top notch coffee (especially iced coffee or iced americano ) and espresso . Get a mini quiche !
It's impossible to pick a favorite, but we have to award bonus points for the genius combo of eggs , bacon , miso-tahini kale and hot sauce . Read more
Grab the turkey sandwich and sit outside while they make it. Perfectly made to accompany the approach of Autumn
Owner-operated shop w/ rotating cast of coffee roasters and baked goods from their restaurant across the street. Coffee is almost always good and wifi is steady, w/ an assortment of plugs.
Consistently delicious espresso . Beans by Counter Culture .
New School is one of the rare NYC breakfast sandwiches that lives up to the hype...and perhaps deserves more of it.
They do 5 very different takes on the egg sandwich , best in the city . If I had to choose I would go splitty-splitty on the 295 and the Sausage .
Outstanding cappuccino . Some places might even call this a cortado . Whatever it is, it's perfect. Killer croissants , too. From Balthazar, I think.
Some of the most flavorful espresso in the area. Not bitter at all, so the cortado or the macchiato are the BEST.
Good coffee . Just had a latte and a tasty pound cake slice. Yum yum. Always a quiet place to get serious work done. Plus the baristas are all super nice.
Scrambled eggs , Heritage Meats ham , Cheddar , pickled onion , and a compulsively edible redeye-gravy-like mayo on a brioche roll.
One of my favorite coffee shop ! Mocha , hot chocolate and a reg. latte are my top fav. Oh yea don't forget to add the marshmallow ????
Americanos are delicious. The baristas are great. They recently opened a sandwich bar that looks fantastic but I haven't tried yet.
Southside sandwich-delicious and filling. Probably the best breakfast sandwich in Brooklyn. Worth coming even if you don't live in the hood.

The staff is great and the coffee is lovely especially when it’s been this cold!

Get anything espresso-based. They also use Geroge Howell beans (not to be confused with George Orwell...).
The iced americano was best one I've yet haved. A cozy & cool Brooklyn cafe with the perfect atmosphere
Southside breakfast sandwich is as good as advertised. Pickled red onions and breakfast mayo add an awesome tang.
Do yourself a favor and get one of their new sandwiches - breakfast all day and savory lunch from 11-4pm
They don't mess around with their cappuccinos ! Very strong and very tasty. Also- bring cash.
Owner operated corner coffee shop . Friendly service in a small neighborhood spot . Good free wifi . Great coffee and espresso .
The sweetest baristas are preparing the best brews – you’ll smell it as soon as you enter the tiny café . Try the espresso and the cortado .
Great coffee , no frills. The staff is really nice and the neighborhood community scene is rich.
New School breakfast sandwich and a black coffee for a perfect morning.
The best quiche I've ever had.
Chill neighborhood cafe that takes coffee seriously but puts the customer first. A+ baked goods and wifi too!
Southside sandwich is just out of this world. They take cards now too. ????
Called the C.B.E., it has corned beef with Swiss, eggs , pickles , and Russian dressing on rye .
The crema on the americano here is amazing... Add 1/2 & 1/2 and tastes like drinking mild sweet chocolate .
Cool place. Nice staff .
Great coffee and the best sandwiches in South Slope .
High quality, cheap price, WiFi , delicious food
Try the Southside breakfast sandwich . They serve breakfast until 4PM.
Great AC to help cool you off on a hot summer day. FYI No cell phone use allowed.
