Bowman's Beach

Visited here on a whim and had a great time shelling and playing in the water. Definitely good to come early to get good parking and pick of shells.

As mayor, I relinquish all previous rules. Drunken nude horseback riding with pets off leash for all!!

Bowman's Beach is one of the most pristine beaches on Sanibel . It is a great place to hang out and watch the sunsets

Good beach but literally about a quarter mile or more walk from parking lot to beach entrance. Recommend not bringing a lot of stuff or using a beach cart.

Parking is at a premium; best to arrive before 11:00 am (4.3.2013)

Best shelling beach , I think on this Gulf. Lots of shells. Beautiful colors. Awesome

The beach is wonderful. The water is like bathwater. Just a really long way to walk from the car.

Did see Dolphins ???? A longer drive and expensive to park , but worth it for the exclusion.

One of the best family beaches on the island . There's a great playground for the kids and an exercise trail with a dozen great exercises for adults.

Dolphins : Keep your eyes open for dolphins . Look out at the line of buoy's. The dolphins surface often.

Very nice beach ! Water was so warm and calming . Perfect place for relaxin. Wish I could have stayed longer.

We saw a dolphin this morning !

It says it’s accessible for disabled; they have ample disabled parking . However...it’s a mile walk to beach from parking !!!

Saw a manatee . Also, dogs are allowed but keep them on a leash !
