A great urban lake with a 1.6 mile walking path - keep your eyes open for wildlife while walking around the lake . After your walk stop by the pavilion for a burger , hot dog , ice cream or beer !
Free music Mon-Thurs in the summers. Mostly aimed at the older generation, but still a beautiful place to sit outside and hear a free show if you like Jazz , Swing , Big Band, etc.
The food is amazing. The restaurant was redesigned and is fancy , yet homely. It's very enjoyable. Music and plays during the summer.
They serve beer , wine , coffee , and various food in the cafe . If they would just get wifi this would be the perfect place to work remotely in the summer.
The Hurricane drink has 4 kinds of rum and like its name, is strong!
Best place in the Twin Cities ! Come to the annual Japanese lantern ceremony. The sunken garden is the best thing here. Great bike paths !
If you want to take a walk in the wintertime this is the place to go. They keep the path plowed.
Myself and Denise used to frequently attend the concerts and enjoyed them very much
Lots of pretty views to take photos. Check out the zoo , conservatory, carousel, and town .
Lake Phalen is truly a gathering place. It's beautiful to walk but it also has lots of activities like an amphitheater, beach volleyball, playgrounds, sports fields and ice rinks. - Arielle Lenox
There seems to be a lot of rules. The lifeguards are always shouting on the intercom about reminder beach rules. They have 15 min routine lake checks. But free dinner for kids under 18! - Anna
Great lake to walk your dog around because there's always little to no people walking around so your dog won't get distracted - Lynden Albeck
Donations welcomed at my favorite free zoo! The surrounding area is delightful and the Zoo is amazing. Take the kids and enjoy their wonderment. - Travis Burton
The conservatory is amazing, especially in winter when you need a bit of heat and green growing things! - Steve Bivans
Outdoor seating and walk up windows. Fun how it's very old school. - Carolyn Steele
