Wine in the garden after work was lovely, until the "whoa"... closed at 8:30 p.m. It's a coffee place after all. A lovely garden and great coffee !
The garden is beautiful! Espresso is very good and more Italian style (less intense/overwhelming than your average american hipster espresso ).
If you have your own hotspot and it is nice outside, the outdoor area is great for working. Otherwise, the lack of public wifi and limited indoor seating mean you should find another spot.
They've closed the garden for good as of 2013 in order to save money on rent. Coffee is good, and there are some seats inside and on the sidewalk. No wifi tho.
Great cappuccinos , very cute garden out back, and the best destination in the meat packing area for coffee . Will def be a regular here!
Kava is where I fell in love with Machiattos. Great backyard seating when the weather is nice.
A source for great coffee near the High Line in an attractively designed spot.
Try the Fritata Brioche - Such a delicious layers of cream cheese , tomato and eggs snuck inside a brioche .
Interesting spot playing football complete with bagels and pre-made sandwiches . Killer macchiato .
After you place your order, walk through the red door in the back for the spacious garden . A great summertime place for breakfast and a book .
Excellent coffee , great decor, awesome garden in the back and stays open fairly late. It's a Meatpacking Zen Gem.
Love the cappuccino at this joint. And don't forget to check out the back patio .
Great coffee , nice staff ! And soooooo close from home :)))
This seems to be my spot for warming up, cooling off and drying off before or after visiting the Highline Park .
Nothing like grabbing a morning coffee from Kava, and then take a short walk at the high line .
Interesting combination of a place with demanding coffee and a night club/bar (art deco ) atmosphere.
If they have the orange brioche in... A must try treat to get your day going!
Fantastic espresso , surprisingly friendly and welcoming environment for such a high-end place. Grab a canelé if you can!
Perfect espresso , get a single shot!
Try the Iced Coffee - Say hello to Claire, a @Foodspotting fan, and have an iced coffee in the garden ...
Cozy , cute place and the cortado was quite good.
Whole grain bagel are so good

Perfect stop to savor an espresso in between CitiBikes!
Ridiculously overpriced. Coffee is $4.75 and the simplest to go sandwich $11.
Great location. Have any espresso drink .
Don't miss the garden . It's through the cafe and out back.

Their mocha n lattes are the best! Don't forget to check out the garden !
Try the blueberry iced tea !:)
There is an adorable social cat in the back garden . I don't know if she is staying but I hope she is
The staff wears fedoras! Kinda cool, plus they have the best coffee in wv!
Great to sit outside in the garden - even in winter!
Ask for the sandwich and soup combo only $10 bucks
A very good flat white
Espresso coffee & atmosphere
It's small place but nice coffee
Not aging well . They added a TV , got rid of the gelato counter and converted to US size portions/cups.
Great iced vanilla latte . Backyard looked cool but was closed
Best coffee shop in town ! Grab it to go and head to the water
Super nice. Came from working out and only had Amex which they don't take. Let me have my coffee and told me to come back another day and pay
When you order a cortardo, make sure they don't think you said frittata . There's no latte art on those.
Try the Cortada - Prepped by a very stylish barista.
If you're having a bad day... Pop in! There are some entertaining hats to cheer you up.
Best espresso in the area
Good soy latte !!!
Hang out in the shaded garden after a walk down the high line . Nice
8 yrs in ny & think this is my favorite coffee . Factor in the garden & I know it is
Beautiful garden in the back.
Linzer tarts and coffee in a dimly lit room. Such an adorable location. The Hostess-style cupcakes are also quite tasty. - Brianne Sperber
The Merriweather Winter Salad, roasted Brussel sprouts, roasted broccolini, roasted sweet potatoes, baby spinach, crispy shallots, and Parmigiano-Reggiano in a sherry shallot vinaigrette! - Merriweather Coffee Kitchen
Worth it. Pleasant walk. Can also take a book and spend time there reading, people watching. - Elsa Pollard
