"I love this place,” says Hugh Acheson, adding “They’re total pros. No BS. Just great coffee .” Serving Counter Culture roasts paired with local dairy, it’s a simple shop with simply great coffee . Read more
Thumbs up for Everyman! A nice strong cup of coffee with a solid afterbite that is non-burnt tasting. Better known for their expresso .. It's a simple shop, nice staff , focused on good coffee .
Great service, specialty coffee , fun, ever-rotating espresso menu, cheery space, dreamy, creamy cortados , and fresh doughnuts from Dough . Winner of Best of NYC Critics' choice for Best Espresso Bar !
One of our all time favorite coffee shops around! Counter culture coffee+great baristas+cool space+free wifi = you have to go here immediately! You'll have some of the best espresso around!
Some of the best espresso in New York. Even more impressive, their decaf is almost as good as their regular beans - easily the best decaf I've ever had.
One of the best espressos and coffee shops in the city ! They serve Counter Culture Coffee and offer a punch card for returning customers!
Concoctions currently on offer include a teetotaling Espresso Old Fashioned (espresso , Peychaud's bitters , sugar) and the Panacea (espresso , lemon , honey , ginger , and bitters ) Read more
Extremely talented and hospitable staff . They perfectly prepare every drink using Counter Culture Coffee . Their pastry game is on lock too! They also have a SOHO location.
Although Everyman Espresso is one of the original grand dames of NYC specialty coffee , the bright , beautiful relaunch of their original Classic Stage Company digs deserves space in this list. Read more
They serve great cappuccino . The place was quiet and very cozy . I would recommend going their for coffee lovers who need to get some work done.
My favorite latte in the city . Don't sleep on the pastries either - they stick Dough donuts and insanely good croissants .
Cortados and other espresso drinks are usually made with two shots here, but you can also order just one (or three, for the fiends among you).
Have been coming here for 3 years! I moved from East village to midtown but I still come down here for their coffees ;) even with different baristas, you get damn fine coffees . And they renovated!
If I'm near East Village but closer to Union Sq, this place is my go-to for coffee . I tend to drink their cortado rather than a cappuccino for some reason.
The best coffee drinks in the city . Very talented baristas in a small but open space . The aero press coffee is unlike any coffee you have ever tasted.
This is a small spot with a decent amount of seats/tables. Grab an iced latte & any of their pastries . They have vegan options too.
Awesome coffee and good wifi . Nice place to work from if you can snag one of the few tables they have. The bench along the wall isn't really comfortable .
Everything is good here, but the cortado is a particular standout. You want to come here for coffee . On some saturdays and sundays you'll also see theater folk.
Only 1 public outlet to plug into along the left back wall area under a bench , I called it! Or ask staff if you can plug in behind the register, they are very helpful.
When I think of a place that encapsulates the essence of manhattan. I think of Everyman. Eclectic crowd, theater in the back, the best coffee , only slightly pretentious .
If they want Everyman to have an espresso they probably should serve drinks one at a time. However they are damn good. Worth the wait.
A stand out in a neighborhood with a ton of great coffee . Seating consistently fills up really early. Stop in and head to Stuyvesant Park in nice weather.
My local favorite. Friendly staff . Chai latte is perfect. Not too sweet or hot, you’ll still have tasted buds after.
I'm jealous of NYU kids who have access to this awesome cafe because it's right across the street from the dorm! Lots of small tables to bring your laptop and school work.
As a barista myself, they probably have the greatest latte you'll find in the city next to Think Coffee . Come find me and I'll give you $3 for you to try their latte .
Most decent Cortado out of the few cafes I had from the area. Definitely beats La Colombe.
One of the best in city . The people here love their jobs and it shows. Plus I love to support businesses that embrace tech - they use a square and ipad instead of cash register. Love it.
If you can snag a table, awesome place to work for a few hours. Also, I think they hire baristas based on the impressiveness of their tattoos .
Great lattes and cortados , Dough doughnuts , strong wifi and outlets along the benches .
Best latte in the city - even better than stumptown . I think it has a lot to do with the milk they use. I always find out about cool theater productions while there and the staff is very friendly .
I rarely leave tips, the staff here know how to make good coffee ! I think I'm in love with this spot! And they do take cards.
A perfect way to start your NYC day is by grabbing the perfect coffee at Everyman Espresso!
They source their milk and pastries locally! Awesome space to do work, read a book or meet up with people.
One of the best coffee shops in East Village . One big drawback is that they don't let you control the sugar.
Lovely atmosphere where you can check out what's going on in the theater while waiting for your coffee . The coffee is good as well .
Good cortado and plenty of room to sit for a bit (without people camped out all day on laptops)
Great place to work but only a few tables. Staff are super friendly
Great coffee , nice vibe, free wifi . They are in the lobby of a small theatre space, so there aren't enough tables and seats. That's the only negative.
Great coffee but the space is shared with a theater so avoid going before a show and intermission
Fantastic coffee and really super staff . Will be a regular stop for us.
Really nice hipster place to study with a mix of music playing.
Lots of space to sit, plus they take a card in case you don't have cash and need some caffeine. You can get pour-over coffee here too, if you've got time to wait. Counter Culture served here.
This is where I frist met 2013 Northeast Regional Barista Competition Champion, Samuel Lewontin. He mostly works out of the other location now but his dna is still on this place.
This tiny little place needs more tables! People work on chairs and legs.. With their laptops. Crazy place. Great coffee .
The staff are as amazing as the coffee . Great beans, plenty of talent, and personal attention to boot.
Best coffee shop in the area. Some of the best espresso in the city .
Best cappuccino in town . The almond croissants are not to be missed
I've been here 5 times. LOVED: 1) Cortado 2) Iced Coffee . See Top 10 dishes on Foodmento: Read more
Friendly baristas . Tasty chai latte . Very comfortable chairs .
Good people behind the counter, good coffee and a great space to hang out.
Love the raw bars they sell and they make a tasty almond milk cappuccino - super cute mini outdoor alcove area - Claudia Colonna

A classic NY joint. Great coffee, great price, great staff. Reliable for that cup of joe every morning. - Thomas Mo
Huge collection of books, but more importantly, the 2$ handed down books of really good quality, often recent bestsellers as well! - Layla
Big park! Free Wi-Fi. Perfect for date nights, nice view also. - ImSo_Brooklyn
Usually pretty busy on big releases but a nice theater non the less - N Martin
