W New York - Union Square

One of the greatest W properties in the world. Spacious rooms with high ceilings , free wifi and great lobby scene. Modern stylings in historic building give it a unique NYC touch.

Love this location, but what makes this hotel my home away from home is Nelson at the Welcome Desk. He’s always helpful and takes the time to make your stay more personalized and pleasant.

Eat the lobby apples . They're real and free. Also, they're apples .

Awesome views from the corner suites! Best W in NY. Good chances of upgrades to suites for Platinum SPGs.

SPG Platinum upgrades are few and far between at this property. I've stayed here 12+ times over past couple of years and best I've received is spectacular room. Upgrades better at other NYC starwood

When New York has an important game at MSG, you can find the team stationed here the night before. All of New York hopes that Carmelo Anthony & co. have extended reservations here come playoff time.

Really cute and functional lobby for a quick drink or coffee . Great for a casual client meeting or a meetup spot before you figure out what to do in Union SA.

Good and classy place to have a breakfast or business meeting. Eggs Benedict were good.

Great location. Nice lounge and bar . Hotel rooms are reasonably large. Hotel is in great need of renovation. Furniture is banged up; beds need replacing; and carpets need replacing - long overdue.

Best bathroom in Union Sq, hands down. Through the lobby past the front desk and up the stairs on your left.

Talk about pimp. Their swanky digs are the perfect place to rest your head during NYC's annual Pride festivities (and any other time of the year). Thanks for the support guys!

Great location and staff ! The W Union Square is the ideal spot for your travels to NYC! Ask about the Key to the City .

Wonderful location and staff . Alas, our visit was ruined when W hotel “ran out of” two-bed rooms, despite our pre-payment. Slept badly on a rollaway two nights and on a daybed/the floor for a third.

Bigger rooms and an all around more up-to-date hotel than most of the high-end hotels in NYC.

Friendly staff , nice rooms and the comfiest beds ever. Try the omelette with mushrooms in room service breakfast -- yum!

The lobby is a great place to escape for a few minutes from the crowds in Union Square.

First time here, hands down one of the best in the City , modern and cool.

SLOWEST. ELEVATORS. EVER. If you're on a low enough floor, learn to love taking the stairs. Heck, ask for a lower floor so you can take the stairs. Save yourself a few eons or so.

The concierge has great tips for local restaurants off the beaten path.

This place is ridiculously cold! The hallways and the lounge ! Bring a parka even in the summer! Other than that, great!

Ask for Nathan, great dude and amazing bartender !!! Tell him Mario days what's up! =)

Be sure to give your SPG# at checkin. You will get a better room.

Put the earplugs and eye mask (found on bath caddy) to use! You'll will need them for the honking cars.

The lobby provides some relief from the heat on a hot NYC summer day.

The renovated "living room" bar looks SO much better. More living room esque and less tourist meet up spot.

"Public" restroom is on the second floor. If you're dressed nicely, you'll blend in.

Go for a Cool Corner suite for the multiple vistas.

Not really seeing whats so cool about this place. The W has some nice hotels . This might be one of them, i guess. $17 drinks so uh, yeah.

Ask for Merly at the bar . Best waitress ever!

Stay anywhere else. The rooms are tiny. The staff was pretty rude to us when we tried to get room service . Movies cost 20 dollars. Room service charges a $10 delivery fee. WIFI IS NOT FREE.
