Don’t let the bookstore front fool you. The breakfast here is amazing. These are toast with honey ham jam and a lot of delicious insides. Sweet and savory perfect.

This cozy spot is a must when you're in the area. They (fairly ) recently renovated + added 2nd floor seating, where you can catch a cool view of Newbury. Get the breakfast burrito or any hot drink!

Matt Lintott

The Monte Cristo Breakfast item is Amazing and so is the Vanilla Chai Latte Perfection if you have a sweet tooth. Very friendly and efficient service . The Menu has some great options a must visit.

Kat ????

Great place to work/study. They have free WiFi (not the fastest) and comfortable seats . The hot chocolate is not as rich as I'd like but hey, just paying $4.30 let me stay here for a couple hours!

Bhavin Gandhi

My god!! It has been 3 years since I moved to Boston. How the heck did I miss this cafe/book shop. Incredible food. I genuinely think this is one of the best cafes in Boston.

Minnie Kim

Really great brunch food ! The apple & Brie omlette was amazing, along with the lemon ricotta filled French Toast and the Frittata ! The smoothies were delicious as well :) wonderful place for brunch !

Laura Wong

Great locally owned bookstore and restaurant . Portions are huge, lots of smoothie and juice options. Also hosts a lot of events like trivia , sip&script, plant nite etc...

Jeremy Krantz

One of my favorite indie bookshops , they also serve up some awesome food and have some great café drinks. Try their Tibetan momos ! Or their pancakes ! Yum!

Mohammad Reda

The fried sweet potato and the sauce it comes with taste really good and the size was more than enough. Also, the cold brew with hazelnut and almond milk is one of the best I've tried in Boston.

Mary Glazener

I got the huevos Ranchero and homeade lemonade ! Fanastic, cozy great for studying or just grabbing a bite. Wide variety of book choices if you want to grab a book to read too. Free wifi too

Sofia Papastamelos

Fun and unique place in the heart of Boston. Sit down to a awesome menu of delicious breakfast foods . Recommend the corned beef hash .

Brooke Wendell

Short rib Benedict! Great beer selection . Will be back to try the lemon ricotta French toast ! Vast menu with tons of good stuff. Pleasantly surprised by this spot. Hidden gem for sure!

Jen O'Neill

Challah bread French toast is amazing. So is their coffee . Breakfast for dinner whenever you want. Plus, free wifi and it's open til midnight. You can truly do no wrong at Trident.

Rue La La

Incredible breakfast , all day long. You'll have to wait if you go during brunch on weekends, but we say it's worth it. Try the ricotta stuffed french toast for brunch or sweet potato fries for lunch .

George Maier

One of the only full service coffee , food, and work hangouts. Excellent service and weekly writer / expert talks.

Jake Smith

There's a cart in the back for those books that you picked up, decided you didn't want, and couldn't remember where it was supposed to go. Make the employees' job easier: use this cart!

Vanessa Gatlin

(Best of Boston 2014-BREAKFAST) Improper Bostonian says, "Here, breakfast is an all-day, every-day affair, and we certainly wish we could start (or end) each day with a freshly squeezed juice blend."

Xavier

My favorite, the prosciutto brie sandwich !!!

Keri Garel

A great spot to sit, snack , and study during the week. Take your time! They'll leave you alone. (The sole downside: the prices have risen astronomically since I started coming here in 2006.)

Matías Gagliardone

Lovely bookstore with plenty of books , games and more stuff. The on-sale books section has great bargains.

Nikole Fuqua

The Lemon Ricotta Berry French toast is fantastic. Also the Belgium waffle and the hash browns are a must try. Great service.

Shannon Farrar

Heard about this gem through the web/word of mouth. Absolutely ecstatic that I finally made my way inside! Incredible selection of books ..found myself browsing for a good hour and a half...

Delicious food. No typical beers . On the 2nd floor w lots of windows overlooking Newbury St. Try the portobello mushroom quesadillas !

Deskplore

"Good for Work/Study" - 4 Stars, "Food & Service" - 5 Stars. Trident is a spacious place with plenty of seats available but electric plugs are limited. Reliable WIFI . Great food for lunch or brunch .

Kat ????

Stop by the front book shelf and read their book recommendations! I'm sure you'll find a couple interesting books to add to your reading list.

Anthony

Such a delicious brunch selection , and then there's an entire bookstore for you to peruse right after your meal.

Kristin Bedard

This place is awesome! Chill atmosphere, great books , delicious food. Plus they serve coffee drinks and beer and wine , and they have free wifi , AND you can charge your phone, computer, etc.

Brendan Sullivan

Trivia upstairs on Friday night! Get there before 8 to guarantee a table since it's popular. Not your standard pub quiz about sports and movies ; more nerdy and eclectic .

Stacy Bo Bacy

A lovely place to shop, eat, or get work done, as the WiFi and service is great.

Jenny Carron

Their breakfast options are amazing— I'm sure their other food is great too, but I just can't stop myself from ordering the breakfast burrito every single time!

Scott Kleinberg

What a cool trip back to when bookstores were cool. The cafe is crowded but nice.

Martin

Kind of pricy for a breakfast spot but very delicious. The bookstore/cafe vibe is soothing. The breakfast sandwich with avocado is a must

Sarah

Food is good (not great) but staff is so friendly and this is such a cute spot! One of my favorites in Boston for sure!!

Stephen Barresi

The staff picks right inside the door offer some good selections if you can't decide what to read next.

Dana F

Not only do they have a great book and magazine selection but they have really tasty food too. Check out the 'perpetual breakfast ' menu or the amazing Cape Codder sandwich .

Carly B. McNeil

The perfect place for a bookworm and brunch addict. Their fresh juices are all must-haves! My favorite is Gail's Kale .

The Next Great Generation (Boston)

Trident is an escape from the retail therapy and often-overpriced dining options. Seating may be tough to find, but the food is heavenly, and there’s free WiFi and plenty of places to sit and work. Read more

Allegra Flores

Great coffee and breakfast . Fry basket, avocado and havarti melt, and "momo " dumplings are delicious as well . Service is consistently sub-par, and most sandwiches/burgers aren't worth eating.

Kethrellan Peterson

Good food and great books . Easy to spend hours here. Try the Yerba Mate Latte !

Mary Adkins

The apple and brie omelet was the best omelet I've ever had. Service is a little slow, but grab a book and enjoy your time there

Spencer Hansen

Food was good. Atmosphere is nice. Service was sub-par. I had the smoked salmon skillet , which was very good. The atmosphere is charming and fun. However, our waiter seemed really cold and indifferent

Isabella Keefe

I love coming here on half-days with my friends. They have really good food, a good book selection, and really cute trinkets.

Naiara

This place is great. For every book and yummy food lover. The brie and apple omelette is amazing!

Samantha Hill

A great place to catch a meal and enjoy the atmosphere, good food, great people, friendly service , with lots of books !

Nina Holmes

The Lattes are the best and the Morning Monte Cristo is delicious.

Cynthia S

The corned beef and eggs was delicious. My daughter loved the French toast .

Kat Kim

Browse the bookstore first to pick up a few you're interested in. Then get a table, order a latte and the French Onion soup while you peruse your picks. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Senator John Blutarski

Food & drinks in an independent bookstore make for a special kind of delight. A great place to pass an hour or two; not the right spot if you're in a rush.

Antonio

Haven't tried their food yet. If you come here to taste their coffee , please don't. It's a pity because the atmosphere and the layout is nice.
