One of the best dim sum in HK, no reservation , go before noon, high ceiling , harbour view , good service . $680 for 4 pax, what else can you ask for? Love it!
Good old school dim sum restaurant in a slightly more up market setting (ideal for tourists ). Lots of authentic traditional dim sum dishes plus good roast meat options. Suckling pig is very good.
best to come with bigger groups so you can taste everything. Place is not easy to find for foreigners: yes, you go into the townhall, then up the stairs. then first get a number from the machine.
Loooong looooong queue but the dim sum is really good. Lots of options and fast service ! They don't take reservations so you should come early!
One of the busiest dim sum restaurants on the weekend. Can easily wait over an hr. Very popular to bring tourists for the food and view . Many families brunches here. Food is above average for dim sum .
You can find the old school dim sum trolley here, good food and service, I would avoid the peak hours as the line could get really long!
Awesome Hong Kong Dim Sum with trolleys and all. Be prepared for a long, long queue. We waited 1 hour for a table of 3 but still worth it, if you are not in a rush.
Very difficult place to find - there are no external neon or large signs. Don't get confused with the Maxim cafe nearby. Ask for Maxim Palace . It's located inside City Hall building on the 2nd floor.
Old style service and awesome Dimsum . You have to flag down the taro pastry , one of my favorites. Also, the char siu pineapple buns are really good. Arrive early to avoid the queue!
One of rare if not the only place in town that still have the dim sum trollies! Just like the old days!
Do not be impressed by the setting: it's inexpensive and delicious. Friendly staff , delicious food although we didn't go in much culinary adventures...
Came here on a Saturday morning. Didn't have to wait as the place was very spacious . Authentic push cart dim sum place full of locals but I would say just an ok meal.
Love the deep fried milk and the fresh apple juice . Also love the traditional Cantonese-style carts wheeling around the restaurant for customer to order food while staying at the table.
Get here at 11 AM and get in first all carts have English written on them, great atmosphere, decent dim sum . Great service even to foreigners.
A must-visit restaurant whilst in Hong Kong. Fun experience and delicious dim sum ! Don't let the line put you off while you're waiting, it moves quickly.
Arrive 15-20 mins before opening. Sit at corner table with 2 aisles for more trolley access. You can go up to trolley for food but better to ask staff to bring item to you! Not cheap .Har gow $42 for 4
Go an a weekday. Lines can get crazy on weekends. If you have no choice but to go on a weekend, go as early as 11. Enjoy!
If you do not like a queue, come earlier. On public holiday, this restaurant opens from 9AM.
Egg yolk steamed bun and bbq pork bun are good. Weekdays at 11:30 no queue; after 12:15 gets full !
My very favourite dim sum place in HK. Download the Foodgulu app to queue up by phone, to spare the hour long wait .
Yeap, the queue is crazy. Waited for 90 mins at noon before getting seated. Dim sum here are good, really traditional, but nothing spectacular. Worth coming here once just for the experience.
Order xiao long bao and steamed kailan . Spot from one of the trolleys : pork dimsum with conpoy (dried scallops ) soup .
Long wait , but there seems to be an app for it. Ladies come by with carts, nice view of the ferry piers . Food is pretty good.
the part with Trolly service is you don't have to worry what to order. Recommendation comes with it. Just ask what is good.
Dim sum on trolleys ? Yes please! A firm favourite for friends, families and visitors.
Best dim sum I have ever had. Get the chicken/corn dumpling and the mango pudding .
Good dim sum , especially if you have friends from out of town . Not quite old school dim sum but definitely close, come early before 11am to avoid waiting
dim sum is always great... no reservation for lunch .... be here around 11:15 to get a table
No reservation , supposed to be THE dim sum place but I find it just ok, not fantastic like Spring Moon in Peninsula HK but no bad either. Lots of dim sum choices & good to dind with natural lights .
Don’t miss out on the dimsum here...and the delicious desserts
Authentic trolleys , love the sweet char siu bao
One of the few places left to get cart service dim sum . Grab a table near the window if you can for views of the water while you dine.
The dim sum is divine but yeah you need to queue for that. 10-15mins wait to get table is pretty reasonable to me
The quality of the food was a bit disappointing this time - but it's a must every now and then for a Sunday Dim sum .
Nice place to eat dimsum , they use trolley to serve people :D crowded and a bit noisy .
Free wifi (super fast!)
Sunday morning 10am and already need to wait for a table.... seems you can't get here early enough!!
Really good food especially their set dinner . Love their dim sums too with wide varieties!!!
Long wait , get the food gulu app and book in advance.
Good dim sum and good view on the harbor
Try chicken feet ! Very tasty! It's not on the menu so you should ask for it.
Great authentic cuisine in special traditional surroundings
Very unimpressive welcome from front reception hostess . I don't even get a chance to try.
The best dim sum in Hong Kong according to the NY Times. I concur. Read more
