The long queue can sometimes be due to the chatty cook. He loves to catch up with regulars while preparing their orders
Curry taste robust & full of flavours. Not overly spicy , unless you add their chilli sauce . Enjoyable on a cold, rainy day
Ingredients of fatty chicken meat, fatty fish cake , fatty dao-pok are stuff that makes it yummy. Watery curry soup was not bad only, I don't fancy sweet sugary flavour for a supposedly curry though.
Long queue for famous curry chicken mi fen mian, as it took quite long to prepare per bowl of standardised items. I queued from 11.45am to 12.25pm (40 mins). Try only if you have patience for slow svc
Less salty than before, which is healthier. For the minimum $6 bowl, you get 4 pieces of chicken , 2 fish cake slices , 1 potato piece and several tofu puffs. Quite tasty, though less curry flavour.
Must-go place every time I visit Singapore. But do check their hours. They usually sell out by 2pm so try to arrive before noon.
No. 45 on "Top 50 World Street Food Masters" 2017 list. No. 1 is Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle , also from Singapore, with a relative operating out of stall 02-16
Amazing chicken curry noodles . Service is brusque — not rude, they're very passionate about what they do. I love it.
Requested for Drumstick portion at $7 & shop asst gave me a buay-tahan attitude as patron before me ordered 3 Drumsticks, patron behind me wanted Drumstick but shop asst bluff said no more O.o
This store perfected curry chicken with noodle . Enough said.
The curry chicken noodle is very nice....
Best curry mee in sg
Soup is salty enough. Overrall is good but service otherwise, sucks.
Salty but still crowded with people.
Superb, with excellent tasting tau pok cooked in curry, but the chicken is cooked separately hence isn't quite as tasty. All in all, highly recommended. - Benjamin Tan
The sauce is great, and the portion is more than you paid for with an abundant amount of awesome tasting charsiew! Definitely recommended! - clairbear T
Easy and good. Worth going because the TWO Michelin’s guide noodle places are right across from each other. - Juberish Gibberish
The noodles were just AWESOME. The pork balls are very flavourful! The flat fish was crispy, the pork intestines were mindblowing. The Teochew dumplings were very savoury and delicious. YOU NEED THIS! - Bernard Lim
Give the premium Cha Shao a try! - AA Mak
The lor mee gravy is thick and savoury. Full of flavour together with nicely fried ingredients like the fish. Yums! - Calvin Lim
Mid size mall and white linen (meaning-higher price) food in Chinatown area- Outram is farther down... - James Look
Do come around 11am on weekdays to avoid the working lunch crowd and must try the bitter gourd fish soup and char kway teow! - Celine Ong
