There is a living room to the left of the front door and it is fancy . It is just like a living room (except without the TV ).
New chef , new ideas, add up to a wonderful new experience but you will still find all of the favorites such as peanut soup . Go if you live nearby, or make it a destination--it is worth the trip!
The peanut soup was outstanding. The ambiance is great and the staff is very attentive. If you visit the museum check out the restaurant it’s worth it.
Happy hour ! Crab cake sliders ! Skip dessert !
Delicious food, good service and friendly staff ... attention the food is served in large proportion
A wonderful place to have a wedding. My daughter's event was beautiful, the food was excellent and the service helpful.
Surprisingly very reasonable prices! Beer for just 3 bucks! Apps for 4! Smells divine, hope it tastes as good!
As a local, this is one of my favorite places. The fried Brie is so good, and I've always gotten lovely service.
We had the meatloaf and (my wife) had the crab cake . Awesome!
Reasonable prices for a museum , and friendly , helpful staff .
Shrimp and grits were good- so was the Mt Vernon Harvest Ale bottle beer
A wonderful place to have your wedding and reception. My husband and I loved our wedding and our guests had so. Much fun!!
Order their crab cakes to have some of the best crab loaded cakes you will get.
The bread pudding was marvelous!
Some of the best root beer and hot apple cider I've ever had. :)
Have your wedding and reception here! My husband and I loved it and our guests had a wonderful time!!
Appetizer tip: Both the "Colonial Hoe Cake " & "Fried Brie & Strawberry Sauce " are fantastic!!
George Washington had a sweet tooth so to go with the elegant dinning have good old American pye
The Colonial Hoe Cake is delicious! Lamb chops were decent, but small. Blackberry custard was incredible
The roasted duck with apricot glaze is amazing.
They serve whiskey but not the rye made at Mt. Vernon!
Food and service is exceptional
Great food and excellent service
Peanut soup is amazing.
The peanut soup is excellent!
It's beautiful in here. Staff are nice.
I really don't get the rave reviews of the food. It was uniformly terrible, no-one at our table of 10 wanted to finish their meal.
Request Aicha O for a great meal!!!
The mansion itself is great to walk through. You will see how Washington was so precise about the decoration and the architecture. The land is very big you need time to go and see every spot. - N ~
A very somber place, a wonderful place to pay respects to our founding fathers - Karl Warren
Fun tour with knowledgeable guides. Be prepared to spend money if you want to buy any of the alcohol made here, but it’s worth it to try! - Caitlin Lawler
Everything is good at this Bistro, I believe I have found my new favorite place to go for great fresh food. - Damion Miller
Definitely see the movie as you first come in. We've been here several times, but this was the first time we saw it and it was time well spent. Very, very well done! - Jim Remington
Save some time at the end for walking around the museum. We should have planned for 4 hours at Mount Vernon. Didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked in the museum after mansion tour. - Joe Dwyer
