The Arena sits on top of Victoria Station which was redeveloped in 2015. The station has its own walkway and entrance into the Arena and is served by Northern, TransPennine trains and Metrolink trams .
Great Venue, apart from the stairwells in the seating area - which are too darn steep! Saw Jason Manford here last month
Park in the outdoor NCP car park opposite the multiple story when attending events - you're out in no time- no massive 30 min queue out of the car park . Take change for the ticket!
This arena is a great place for boxing and my greatest moment came when we did the Ricky Hatton-Kosta Tszyu match. Hatton pulled off a big upset and the people almost took the roof off the arena.
Concerts . Sound system not brilliant but good atmosphere with the right band.
Get your tickets directly from the box office in person if you can. You don't have to pay the ridiculous surcharges then.
Use parking in arena there's loads up top.

Great atmosphere down on the floor, but it's a long way back out from down there.
Great live music venue , don't be surprised that food and drink are pretty pricey
If you’re won the lottery and not sure if you should get the nacho or hotdog .. go for the hotdog . Nachos taste like cardboard.
One of if not the best concert venue in Manchester. Also check out the ice hockey !
Cash machines inside charge £1.80 and arena nazi won't let you out once you're in so go to free ATM in Victoria Stn Arena entrance before you go in
Saw slipknot here. Great venue. One of the best places to go.
The construction around it makes access a bit tricky, but inside it is fine.
Teenage girls: Don't go and stand by the stage door and scream at some stupid boy band. People live opposite and need sleep.

Tunnel to sleep in if you want to queue over night for a show with a socket to charge your phone, etc. McDonalds and Victoria station (toilets !) is just upstairs.

£15 charge for the official NCP arena car park on event days/nights. Find cheaper parking elsewhere!
Don't sit near the back.... its not even worth going to a concert if you do so.

Loads of warm over priced drinks to quench your thirst.
Don't park in the multistory car park ! At around £13 its a rip off and it'll take you ages to get out unless you leave half an hour - 15 mins early!

Don't assume parking in an NCP car park means its safe... I did, had my car broken into and all my stereo equipment stolen. BE WARNED
