Pfeiffer Beach is a beach Big Sur located in United States.
Sycamore Canyon Road Big Sur (at Highway 1) Big Sur , CA 93920 United States
It's a secret. The only way to find it is to turn off the at the sign that says caution Narrow Road . So hard to find but majestic once you find it. $10 parking fee but so worth the view at sunset .
A must do if you're near by for an afternoon or wine with the sunset . It's breeze and sunny so pack jacket and sunglasses. Watch for crowded times, you'll have to wait to enter the park . It's great.
Try and get parking because having to walk two miles to and fro will kill your feet. A great beach to have a picnic and some purple sand in some areas (oooooooh)
The most breathtaking beach on the California coast. There are beautiful rock caves , tide pools , and PURPLE SAND.
Catch the sunset here, though beware of the crazy mass of photographers also trying to catch the sunset . $10 cash for parking .
the wind is very very harsh. It almost kicks you off your feet. The sand flying against the skin hurts as hell, so wear jeans & long sleeves plus be sure to bring sunglasses to protect your eyes!
Parking is 10$ cash or $10.30 with credit card and then it’s just a couple feet walk from where you park ! Beautiful beach
V hard to find! Sycamore road 's unmarked and there's no sign for the beach from highway1. it's the only ungated turn right between the Pfeiffer big sur state park n the post office . Almost a u-turn!
This Big Sur beach is known for its purple sand , stunning stone arches and crashing waves. (Serenity now.) Read more
Drive down the windy dirt road until you get to the state park parking lot , then it’s a short walk to the beach . Check out the purple sand and dramatic vistas http://bit.ly/Zr8zjB
Waves are very nice. Too powerful to swim . Streams can be a little tricky too. Nice landscape. Parking is $10
Nice beach that takes a long slender drive to! Also, a big rock with a hole towards the sea is located here.
Stunning. Not to miss.
Try not to go on a busy day or foggy day. The road to the beach is windy and at times, you have to pull over to let the other car go by. Parking lot is small. Stunning place.
Wonderful beach !!! Great for kids as well !!!!
There's more purple sand further on the right! I would not go into the water, rip tides are crazy, there was a whole family swept off once.
$5 entry fee, and it's a long drive down off Hwy 1, but a great beach for a walk and chilling out .
Wonderful piece of paradise!
Pay $10 to park . Or it's a 45-60 minute hilly walk. No exaggeration. Your call.
There are no words or photos. Just go.
Nice beach
One of the most gorgeous places I've ever seen.
Best beach in Big Sur; look for baby sea anemones.
Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on leash.
Amazing place
Unsigned Sycamore Canyon Road just south of Big Sur Station)
Ocean Arch
Venture forth and find the rope swing on the beach edge.
Bring a jacket , as the wind picks up unexpectedly.
