A nice beach area to sit and relax. Across the street was a food truck place to get some cookies and sandwiches etc.
Beware of the currents. Pick a marker on land and try to stay aligned with it. Use the marker to get a sense of when the current is moving you.
A very nice beach for bodysurfing or beginner's surfing in the winter. Not as daunting as the North Shore waves . The showers and washrooms are all the up North near the barrier.
Great beach for all types, swimming at the North end Boarding at the South. Long span of beach with pavilions and such
It's a gorgeous beach ! And also a nice place to cleanup if you've been on a nearby hike (or need to cleanup for any other reason, I suppose).
Great locals beach , easy to get to, not too crowded .. bring BBQ stuff and grill in one of the pavilions
Right off the highway and a really solid long sandy beach .
This beach is amazing for picnics so pack a lunch or dinner and make your way here. Ocean air and sunshine makes any meal that much better.
One of the best beaches for beginners- surfers, boogieboards- great open surf
Walk on our shared use path. Meet bikers, skaters, walkers, and their pets on this path with stunning views of Kauai 's east coast

Great place for a picnic . Nice shelter for a shady spot to eat.
Nice and long.
Good sunset
Watch the waves "pop" as they roll in, it's quite amazing
Learn to surf . Then teach me for free!
Best beach to boogeyboard!

Nice beach with two ponds for kids, or anybody who wants to take it easy. Ton of space for picnics etc. It's all very we'll curated and clean. - Andrea Campi
Currents can be strong but otherwise it's a nice beach for swimming. - Michelle A.
A little off the beaten path, but waves were great for surfing. - Bryan Mortensen
Access is lovely with a vegetation tunnel. Beautiful beach. Not too crowded. - Richard Wallass
The view is truly beautiful, and the newly refurbished lighthouse is cool to see. Kids will love seeing newly hatched birds, and the staff is very kind and friendly. - Sarah Rippetoe
