Australian Museum

Brilliant museum for kids, so much for them to do, great on a rainy day. If you live in Sydney, then it's worth it to get a yearly membership.

Generally a museum of natural history , with special focus on the wildlife of Australia. Also a strong emphasis on Aboriginal culture.

So glad I stopped here! Great for kids and adults! Excellent exhibits teach about Australia's natural history .

So much to see & do. The kids really enjoyed it but adults can learn a lot here too. A must see if you are in Sydney

My favourite permanent exhibition had to be the Indigenous section . The Inca exhibition was in town - worth visiting.

Kids totally loved it here. Very engaging and informative. Will definitely back for the coffee too!

Went to Aztec Exhibition . Attractive lay out and comprehensive information.

Get a copy of "The official Sydney guide" at one of the tourist information stands before you come here, it contains a discount coupon. $8 instead of $12 in my case.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year is a must, every year.

The bird display is incredible!

Wear earplugs. The noise level from screaming kids reverberates and is magnified by the old walls and is deafening and inescapable.

Bodypainting at Jurassic lounge . The other entertainment was great! I got to go here during the day. Could spend hours here!

The staff meetings are riveting - an event not to be missed.

So so Aboriginal section best bit. But then I spoilt with London Museums .

The children's play area is awesome.

Go to Australian Museum and enjoy the Dinosaur exhibit . Do not miss the giant T-rex bones and birds specimen.

Jurassic lounge fantastic idea worth attending

Be sure to take an extra jumper/coat coz it's cold in there!

Strongly recommend you visit Jurassic Lounge on a Tuesday night!

If u r a member pop in to the lounge for free tea and coffee . Lower ground floor.
