Gave this hike another try, trails are a bit narrow, wear real hiking shoes . Worth it to climb atop Skull Rock ! Fun with a group!
Weekends can be busy lots of people trekking through. Weekdays in mornings nice quiet peaceful . I enjoy brisk walks and jogging through the park . Restrooms and drinking fountain .
Great Hike/Workout. To the ROCK! Better with a group of people. Beautiful views and scenery. will return...
Great views . Nice, moderate difficulty hike you can do in about an hour.
Hike to Skull Rock . When coming up to the ridge from the water fall, turn right at ridge and go uphill! You can fit through the eye hole!
Beautiful scenery and great trails . Parking is $7 if you don't want to pay park on sunset blvd for free
Beautiful hiking spot with clear views downtown and out over the ocean!
Got a $175 ticket in the mail for rolling through a stop sign . They use video tape and bill later. There's a class action suit going on, but in the meantime, it's not from the DMV, so no normal recour
Endless trails ! Google maps is awesome for showing where you are.
I prefer to go up the canyon side and down the ridge . It makes the view last longer! Stay to the right when you hit the trail .
If you're hiking with a dog, be sure to pay attention to the signs. Hike on a trail that is closed to canines and you will be fined. And it's a hefty fine.
Great hike / workout! Also doesn't smell bad and it's not crowded during the week. Bonus: you can see the ocean while your hiking ! Just lovely!
Be aware that dogs are only allowed about 1/2 a mile up the trail .
The Temescal Ridge Trail is a great for a fan for hiking ! It does last 2 hours approximate. Also bring water! Hallo tiny Rabbits on the Trail !
Rangers go around on busy weekends and do ticket, so don't try to get away with it. Not worth it. Great hikes , beautiful views .
Park on the street and walk. Not worth the trip with a dog if you're staying legal. Great hike otherwise - head to Skull Rock .
The ocean and city views are amazing but the waterfall is more like a drip.
Great morning hikes—with gorgeous views—for all fitness levels.
Make complete stops at the stop signs - there are cameras and they do mail tickets (so I've heard)
Be sure to stop at the stop sign got $110 ticket in the mail not related to DMV but somehow they got your info . Video looked sped up. Never ever going here ever. Not worth it.
Come midday for bikram hiking .
Hike it again. Loved the first and only time I've been.
Hike to the top of Skull Rock
Bring a picnic. Great big lawns and then hiking trails with ocean and city views. A gem. - Joey Bc
Excellent green space in the city. Secluded, trails, picnic tables, duck pond, workout equipment. Ample free parking weekdays, $6 weekends. - Renee T
Nice, spacious park and it’s right next to Highland Park Brewery’s Chinatown location - so easy to stop in after (or before) being outside for an afternoon. - John Cassillo
The views are always worth the pain of the workout. Push yourself! You can do it!! Best trails in LA! - KT Lai
It seems steep going up but it's slightly steeper going up on the waterfall side (as in image below) - Andy Sternberg
