Beautiful historic pub on the Thames with a good beer selection including offerings from London Fields Brewery coupled with incredible views from the beer garden or balcony .
Best pub in the area. Excellent Thameside views , open beer garden with both tables and cushions. Upstairs restaurant and event space offers a quieter refuge. Board games available. Good food and drink
Proper old boozer bursting with character & history. Standard pub grub & drinks both on the expensive side but worth it for the lovely outside roof terrace with great views over the River Thames.
Straight into my list of favourite pubs in London . Seriously, a great selection of ales in an excellently outfitted and maintained pub . The roof terrace is something special and not to be missed.
Amazon views from the two terrasses. Atmosphere is really warm, cosy and a bit old fashioned , you can really believe the pub hasn't changed in decades. Food is good as well . Overall, great pub !
The fuschia was first discovered in 1969 in San Domingo and introduced to England via this pubBrought in by a thirsty traveller from the New World the first plant was traded here for a noggin of rum
Drink in London history at the Prospect, a building in Wapping that dates back to the 1520s and claims to be the city ’s oldest riverside inn .
London's oldest riverside pub dates back to 1520. The Prospect used to be a regular meeting place for smugglers, pirates and cut-throats. Views from the pub were sketched by both Turner and Whistler
Named after an old collier that used to moor alongside, this pub dates back to 1520 and was known as the ‘Devil’s tavern’ because of all the smugglers and other unsavoury characters that used it.
Just far enough out of town to be off the tourist trail . London's oldest pub (circa 1520) - Been going here for years - and keep coming back. Get there early as it gets busy pretty much all year round
Soak up the atmosphere, read the historical information on the walls and imagine the place rammed with sailors 300 years ago. Hang out in the beer garden in summer, or by the fire place in winter.
Highly highly recommend. A beautiful historic pub with great selection of beers and great atmosphere. Two outside terraces overlooking the river .
A nice place to call in on the Thames, if you are out for a walk in Wapping. Popular pub , does food, with good views from the upstairs terrace
Had a fantastic evening here, upstairs - window table ! Amazing view and history! Very good service ! Food was ok!
Amazing history. Great view being right on the Thames. The food is also very good. I enjoyed it immensely.
BEST BEER GARDEN , such a lovely atmosphere out there, by the river , what a view . By far, my favorite pub .
Beautiful old & historical Thames-side pub . Look out for the hangmans noose on the riverbank.
Cosy, very good food and historical pub by the river ! Great atmosphere during Summer!
Old, traditional pub with a perfect view to the Thames river . Delicious meals and tasty Guinness
Truman's beer ale is the best beer I have ever had. Worth trying.
Good looks great, mind a few more chips would be better. But the pub is amazing
Amazing views by the river , good food and friendly staff !
Great views , nice beer garden and cheap pub food !
A 'destination pub ', normally crammed to its ancient rafters. Nice cosy seats along the river wall allow prime views of the passing speed boats and pirate's noose .
Such fun. A true piece of history and just a nice place to drink. Didn't try the food.
Lovely lil pub next to the Thames, friendly staff and very good food! Recommend the Roast Beef or Mince Beef Suet Pie devine!
Nice..good selections of food.. loads of space..nice views of the Thames.. Nd hum..Oldest pub in London?!!
Anything. Just Anything is great here.
Very special riverside pub . Had a great time here once and will definitely return.
Go upstairs and out the back for a great river and city view
Amazing location on riverfront, outdoor garden area was cosy. Drinks great, food not so much.
One of the best pubs in London! Great views over Thames from their large terrace ! Read more
Pulled pork nachos were delicious! Shame the portion was so small. Very friendly staff too.
We found the food and service were both ok. Given we were in a large group they catered for us well . I would recommend the upstairs for large groups.
Fantastic historic pub , great beer selection , garden right on the river
Amazing place with many rooms
apparently one of the oldest pubs in London? The view from the back garden , up by the river wall is great, and worth a visit for that
Great food...history in each corner of the pub !
amazing outside area! lights are super cosy at night :)
AMAZING 'Veggie fish and chips ', deep fried Haloumi amazingness.
Excellent beer garden and great pub ! Highly recommend
I love my local pub , friendly staff , good food, relatively good ales , relaxed & cosy ambience, great views to the Thames... a well hidden jewel
The noose at the back is cool muhahaha
One my favourite riverside pubs in London. Wapping rocks too.
Treasure Trails Airways Tip: look for the date under 'w' on the lamppost. It's the king or queen in this year whose name you need!
I love this place. I love it so so so much. I wish it was my local.
Good food and an amazing view of the Thames! Friendly staff !
Stunning view , give a try to the terrace outside
Could be an amazing pub , but does feel like a bit of a chain pub . I think they don't know a lot about or keep their real ales very well .
Really nice cozy pub for a pint. Really slow service if you order food, so make sure you're not in a rush!
Best pub in the area, nice garden and affordable beer. Go for a pint of Taddies! - Mark G
Really lovely riverside pub serving a mean whitebate. Good selection of wines as well. - Shay M
beautiful pub with lots of small sections to keep your privacy. they also have working fireplaces which are perfect for cold winter days. take some time to enjoy the decorations around the pub - Yiota Pap
Every time I've has the pork Sunday lunch it has been spot on. Served quickly and tastes fantastic. - Christopher Kelly
Food & atmosphere are great! Views of the marina are wonderful. Located in a very cute & quaint area. During the day was a street market just outside with lots of good food. - Nicole Lynn
