When you want something cheap and delicious, I always go here. Get a roll for 1.50 and an ice coffee for under 4 bucks. Then you can head to the condiments able where you will find nutrlla olives etc!
What a treat! Like stepping into a French cafe , don't be surprised if you start the day there with a coffee and end it again there with a glass of wine .
It's a perfectly serviceable place with good food and decent prices. Talking just always closed and is in a prime location so it's had business hours have a negative impact on the neighborhood .
The staff here is really friendly and they love when you bring your (well-behaved) pup in. My fave pastry is the Kouign-Aman (pronounced Queen Ah-MAHN) - make sure to ask for it heated!
Pick a pastry , any pastry . I also love the Parisian Omelette . The Vietnamese Iced Coffee may not be the strongest, but it’s a fun drink to sip. I love the ambiance as well . Find a spot anywhere.
One of the best French bakeries in SF. The flan is divine and the croissants are good especially the ham/cheese. Very reliable bruschetta baguette sandwiches and excellent coffee .
Nice place. Here, as in any other place of La Boulange chain, serve yummy backed dishes.
Lovely bakery products but those lines ... I am now convinced San Franciscans like queueing even more than Hong Kongers do!
Indulge in a chocolate hazelnut croissant for something sweet or the Marina egg white sandwich for something salty. Delicious!
Was nice, decent breakfast . Although it was nothing special on the experience itself, service is great and the coffee is massive, served on a BOWL ????. See pic.
The lemonade was a low key lifesaver for a little hangover. Sausage and egg sandwich didn’t hurt either.
I love the Grab and Go Mini Sandwiches for $4 - Tasty Snack
The La Combo (half sandwich/half soup or salad ) is perfect, esp when you want to try more than one thing. The open faced tuna melt with french onion soup was amazing! I got lucky and they gave me sala
Yeah, they're known more for their baked goods , but they have coffee that's simply sublime. Grab a sticky bun and a cappuccino , and dive in.
Without a doubt the best sandwiches and salads in the neighborhood . Grab a pre-made sando to go from the case, or sit and enjoy a salad or an open-faced sandwich . My favorites include the tuna melt , t
The food is really exceptional here. The coffee ? Not so much. Bitterest ever cappuccinos . Stick to lunch , bread & pastries ; get espresso drinks at nearby Blue Bottle FTW

Chocolate Ganache Tart is my favorite. The Chocolate Croissant is also very good.
The bread pudding is amazing. Most places do this as an afterthought - here's it's just perfect. Best in the city .
Their breakfast egg sandwich on whole wheat bread is so good that I dreamed about it.
Coffee in a bowl enjoyed at the tables outside = perfect Saturday morning
Lattes in a bowl are fun and the salads are great
I guess they have the best latte , and the warmest staff as a coffee shop , ever. ☕️ ????
Chicken caesar salad with balsamic dressing sub and a chilled glass of white wine pair perfectly with the great people watching
Breakfast Sammie with whole wheat bread and bacon . Side of fruit and a coffee to complete your breakfast .
Start by ordering a croissant . Then get a croque monsieur . And finish with anything you can put nutella on.
I am addicted to La Boulange! LOVEloveLOVE. Have their French Toast ..I never want it to end when I am eating it. And pick up some bread (proper bread ! none of this 'sweet' tasting crap that's everywhe
Raspberry Financiers are delicious
Start your day with the whole wheat croissant , and a good serving on nutella from the condiments counter.
Open-faced goat cheese sandwich . Almond croissant , tarts and French toast delicious too.
Buttery granola . Eat it with yogurt though because milk makes it soggy.
The trout and/or goat cheese salad are really good. And so are the salmon and/or goat cheese open face sandwiches .
Granola bowl is insanely good and a decent size. Buy it now.
Happy this one is still around. Love their almond croissants !
You have to get a burger just for the buns , which are basically toasted croissants !
Great pastry and deserts , but coffee is magnificently bad
Get the wild mushroom mac & cheese (with truffle oil ). It's ramekin-licking good!
In a hurry? Grab a freshly pre-made sandwich from the cases near the door, or have a staffer grab you a pastry . No need to wait by the cases if you want to eat in, though; go to the next open cashier .
The only thing without sugar or gluten here is the Perrier water. To be fair , it is a bakery :)
They now serve almond milk as an option with their lattes !
Love the place. Nice food and friendly staff .
A nice choice of breads , perfect for french people suffering of homesickness.
Don't be deceived by the French name. Portions are definitely America-sized.
Try their monthly specials - they're usually very tasty.
The sweet chai latte is amazing! (Also available spicy .)
take just a baguette and taste the free jams and nutella that are there for free
Sadly, the puff pastry in my apple chausson had lost all its puff, rendering it indistiguishable from a frozen apple turnover .
BEST quiche and bread pudding !
Still the best breakfast sandwich in Hayes valley.
get donut in the morning it's great
