Typical Hipster AirB&B hotel amenities : WiFi , bikes / bikeable, awesome books & reading material, pop-up museum stlye wall art , turntables , alcohol stockable fridges , jumpable beds, everything walkable
The breakfast will make you cry. For 10 bucks, there is Olympic Provision cured meats , pickles , little t baked goods , Stumptown coffee , fresh juice , local honey ...I've died and gone to portlandia!
Trendy spot in the center of everything. Hang out in the lobby with a Stumptown or hit up their bar . Rooms clean and fun, but beds not most comfortable in the city .
Fitting for "Hipster Central", Downtown Portland- this European backpacking traveler-ish hotel comes cozy but, cool like any AirB&B you might pay astronomical prices for.
Everything you’d expect from the Ace brand is at this Portland outpost: hoodie robes, Pendleton blankets, and, in Deluxe rooms, turntables (and LP’s from local legends such as Pink Martini ).
Walk 400 feet to the famous Powell Books at 1005 Burnside St.; bring your purchase back to the hotel ; enjoy with some Stumptown coffee while people-watching in the lobby. Pure Portland heaven!
Hipster hotel with very friendly staff ... Loved the quirky but stylish room and decor
Nice chill environment..coffee couches , grab coffee relax with a good book . The photobooth in there is a little janky the pics come out really dark. really cute spot overall :)
fantastic modern hipster hotel in downtown Portland that I would highly recommend! that being said, they may neglect to tell you that parking costs $25/day in their lot until your checkout. beware!
Nice without a lot of amenities . Plain rooms. Excellent staff , awesome toiletries. Stump town and a great restaurant in the lobby are a plus. Location extremely convenient.
This hotel made an appearance on Portlandia as the “Deuce Hotel .” Known for its great décor, it has been called hip , modern, and funky and is located close to many of Portland’s favorite places.
Beautiful lobby connected to Stumptown for lounging and sipping.
Staying at the Ace feels a lot like crashing at your hip friend’s house – in fact, you can even book rooms with shared baths, if you just can’t adjust to having a shower all to yourself. Read more
if you're looking for a big bathroom & a quiet room, this is not the place for you. Great "snack bar ," comfortable , quirky, super friendly staff , creative setting, great eats & drinks off lobby.
Low-key with a touch of whimsy, the Ace Portland is full of cool extras: a black and white analog photo booth , free rental bikes and turntables in select guest rooms.
Great location and lots of great things to do/eat on site, but the rooms are super basic and expensive for the city . Hang here and then sleep at The Nines
In the lobby, you’ll be able to score a cup of Stumptown brew, souvenir pics from a vintage photobooth , and some truly fab cocktails at Clyde Common . Read more
Super cool rooms and very friendly staff .
Nestled between Stumptown Coffee and Clyde Common , stop here and take pictures in the photobooth . Or stay here and camp.
Even if you're not staying at the hotel , it's worth stopping in to take some snaps in the photo booth .
Authenticity on all fronts. From the vintage and custom furniture , to the consistency in signage, Ace is a microcosm of Portland culture.
the linens, toiletries, $10 breakfast and happy hour downstairs at clyde common are all pretty solid; be sure to avoid the streetside rooms though - they are SUPER noisy .
You could get away with never leaving this hotel with Clyde Common and Stumptown downstairs. And there's Pepe le Moko around the corner.
Grab some coffee from Stumptown attached to the hotel and hangout in the lounge , meet people from all over.
Rooms with double beds are on the front side aka the loud side of the hotel . Be prepared to listen to recycling bins being dumped at the wee hours and it sounds like it's right in your room.
The hotel wifi is pretty terrible, but the bike rentals are free for guests. Rent a bike (don't forget your helmet) and ride to the waterfront , then head south to the Portland Aerial Tram !
While you’re here, head next door to Kenny & Zukes for the best reuben I’ve had on the West Coast. Read more
This place is hipster heaven! Really cool place with a great coffee shop and restaurant/bar accessible from lobby. Downside is they advertise free wifi but don't bother, it's so slow it's not usable.
This place is so wonderful. Dog friendly and in a perfect location!
See how many people you can cram into the photo booth .
If you're looking to see the city and stretch your legs, the Ace Hotel offers free rental bikes - how fitting for America's cycle city . Read more
Who doesn't love a good photo booth ?! We took one at each point of our day: tired, sober, drunk.
Have your photo taken sitting in the lobby in front of the 'hotel ' sign pretending you're not having your photo taken. Read more
The street side/ front rooms are pretty loud . On Friday at 3 am they start collecting recycling from the bars outside- sound of bottles being dumped from high distances for hours!
Referred to as "The Deuce Hotel " in Portlandia S1 E5. Some rooms really do come with turntables and complimentary bikes .
Super-chill/-hipster spot to base yourself in Portland, with a Whole Foods not far away. ;) Contrary to what others have said, I found the Wi-Fi to be on point. Shame breakfast isn't GF-friendly. :(
loved staying here and the lobby is your typical ace vibe
There's a TicketsWest location at the front desk. Great hidden place to buy tickets in downtown Portland.
Photobooth and Stumptown . Can't go wrong.
Chill w good vibes and an aux cord
First floor you can write secrets and keep them
Cool place. Enjoyed staying.
Hipsterville. But you knew what that snake was when you picked it up.
Cute , trendy , and hip rooms. Stumptown Coffee , and Clyde Commons . No need to leave the building.
Wait to put your money in until you’re actually ready in the booth , unless you want some pics of your crotch ????????♀️
The comfiest of couches .
Try and stay on the fourth floor
Ask the front desk to borrow a typewriter.
Cute little place.
