Awesome place for kids and people of all ages to learn about technology! Though of you're a seasoned geek you may find it a bit dull, but still worth the visit if you haven't been!
You can make your own bacteria!! Take your children, they're start loving science here. Also the fly rockets section is amazing and the guides are very kind. See a movie in IMAX, totally worth it!
Once a month they do a special After Hours event . Adults only, drinks, food, music , and exhibits with no kids under foot and fellow tech/science fans all around. Definitely worth checking out.
The Star Wars exhibit is great. You can see the original costumes , models, behind the scenes videos and learn about the physics of Star Wars.
Start on the bottom floor and get the brain wave sensor! You need to wear it for at least 30 minutes but you can do other activities while you are wearing it.
1st Wed of the month After Hour nights for adults only featuring bands, games & run of the whole museum . IMAX & special exhibits anytime give you & your family a great Silicon Valley experience.

After years of planning, the museum opened in 1990 in the old San Jose convention center . In 1998 it opened in a larger 3 floor venue where it holds four major theme galleries and an IMAX theatre .
On the second floor there's a robot that draws your picture. Take your picture at the computer console, then the robot picks up real pens and draws your picture in paper that you can keep.
Visit the To Infinity and Beyond Exhibit to scan radio frequencies from outer space. You can even listen to the audio recording and view the images that were sent out on the Voyager 1 spacecraft too. Read more
This is such a fun place. They close at 5pm. Go earlier cause you will wish to play all the fun stuff in there.
for some reason in my memory it was as large as the exploratorium - its not you'll get it done in a day easy and its not as interactive/fun.
Focused on inspiring the innovator in everyone it reaches, with truly hands-on and interactive exhibits , divided among themed galleries .
Throwing a birthday party here is a blast. If you can't find relatively cheap street parking , putting your car across the street at Cityview Plaza Parking is the next best thing - 7 dollars with no ti
Nice place to visit. I liked the self portrait by a robot . And I enjoyed the earthquake simulator .
Fun place for kids and parents. Awesome iMAX!
A fantastic place for children but not that useful for adults .
So much fun and interesting! Adult playground :) for nerds
1st wednesday of every month is "After Hours" from 6-11pm...they sell alcohol and food and have a band playing on the roof. check it out!
The Hackworth IMAX is amazing!! What a movie experience !!
A very enjoyeable day! The exhibitions are interactive and fun, not just for kids!
I liked but needs a little innocation in the exhibition , looks like old and needs to be always update to show the innovation by itself
Check out the Jet Pack simulator, then go the RadioShack at 779 Story Road and get some So Right stuff to try to build your own.
Come early but make a day of it And you won't regret it at all
Great place for kids but for adults a little bit boring ????
Bank of America cardholders get in for free on the first full weekend of every month!
Reserve at least 3 hours to really enjoy the place!!! ????
The BODY WORLDS EXHIBIT comes to the Tech Museum every 3-5 years. It's amazing and probably the only reason for me to visit this venue!
The 3D printers and social robots artifacts are downstairs in the new 'Tech Studio'
I like the free feature with admission. Also, the Islam exhibit is both tasteful & educational .
If you're going to eat at the cafe , the egg salad sandwich us pretty good
A lot of money for the chance to watch carloads of school kids frantically push buttons
Imax Dome theater is a great attraction !!
The IMAX dome screen is awesome...this is the first time I haven't slept through a documentary !
Honestly I was excited to go but not blown away from this place. Outdated exhibits and not as fun as I thought it would be
It’s good for children but it’s not super interesting if you’re an adult .
Make sure you use the right parking lot if you want validated.
Check out the bio medical stuff on the first floor
Visit the earthquake simulator and play around with the virtual interactive stuff. Don't be ashamed if you're an adult doing kids' science stuff. It's fun!
Half price tickets one hour before closing.
Definitely for the family.
Highly recommended for children of all ages!
We got in for free because our Museum of life and science membership reciprocated
Check out the earthquake simulator downstairs!
Getting some #STEM skills before the next entertainment
