If you are lucky enough to be in Stockholm during the Culture Festival in August, you might be able to catch a free open air presentation of the Royal Opera at Gustav Adolfs torg.

The Royal Opera was founded by Gustav III in 1792 as the national stage for Opera and Ballet . Did you know that almost 600 people work at the Royal Opera today!?

Very magnificent building. Be prepared to walk a lot of stairs though. Best opera house in Sweden:-) Easiest to arrive by subway.

The prices is what's good here! Cheap tickets (half price for students). Friendly staff . Clean toilets . You don't have to use the cloakroom even if they tell you when they check your ticket. No ushers

This is the second Royal Opera House to stand in this spot, to know what the previous one looked like, look across the square at Arvsfurstens Palats (Department of Foreign Ministry).

Just a fantastic place to visit, beautiful interior , worth your visit!

Дракула интересная опера, эффектная. А ещё впечатлил буфет , в нем стоит побывать, это шикарно. А сдать вещи в гардероб 30крон

Здание очень красивое в отличном состоянии, как снаружи, так и внутри. Опера Фигаро на итальянском не понравилась, по сравнению с российской, тональность слабая, в постановке есть эротические сцены .

Гардероб платный - 30 крон . В партере обзор сцены хороший отовсюду. Представления слабоваты для идеального оперного искусства .
