Epcot's International Gateway is short 5 minute walk from the boardwalk. This entrance in to the park almost never has a wait and will put you out between the France and England Pavilions.
Awesome location. Walk or ride a boat to Studios or Epcot. More restaurants in walking distance than any Disney resort . Eat at Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club, on the Boardwalk, or in Epcot!
Personally... this is the best place to stay and fully enjoy Disney. Walking distance (or short boat rides ) to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Convenient bus service to the other parks and resorts .
The bakery on the Boardwalk makes the best cupcakes ever! Even the meatball sandwich I had on the boardwalk was delicious and only like $5 .
A great DVC resort , there is one downfall to one building though. You could be in for a really long walk to your room if your unlucky. About half the villas are above the Boardwalk itself.
Best location in Disney. Walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios (forget the boat). Dine at Dolphin, Swan, Beach , Yacht, or Boardwalk restaurants - all just a short walk!
Awesome view on boardwalk side, worth every extra point (nightly view of epcot fireworks and the "fun" crowd leaving jellrolls!) One of the best dvc resorts !!
On the DHS-Epcot boat trip, you can get off at Swan & Dolphin, hustle to drop purchases and animation art in your room, and catch the same boat to Epcot for dinner .

If going to Disney's Hollywood Studios grab the boat from the Swan and Dolphin Dock, studios is the next stop and for some rooms it is closer than the Boardwalk dock
Nice central location to Disney World. Check out the DVC clubhouse by the DVC pool. Lots of games for the kids to play, plus it's air conditioned !

From villas on west side walk to swan and dolphin to catch boat to HS OR WALK.... Saves you several stops and at least 20 minutes
Take time to get to know the boardwalk shops since you need to go out there for the majority of the amenities .
A very modern hotel with a wonderful classical feel. Make sure to request a pool/boardwalk view .

The pool is usually empty after dark. Also, the pastries at the boardwalk are delicious
The rooms are outdated and overpriced. No Mickey attributes except for the carpet. Could have been any hotel , anywhere. Friendly of course. The entrance and lobby are superb however.
If you like quiet when you sleep request a standard view . Pool views and boardwalk views are always loud bc of the amount of foot traffic.
Boardwalk view is the best if you can get it.
