Many highly famous masterpieces are in this beautiful museum . It's a little hard to find your way with the map, unfortunately. Don't forget to pass to Tabularium after the Epigraphic Gallery .
HIGHLY recommended. My favorite thing in Rome so far. Go around 1pm (no crowds). They have an excellent collection, all beautifully displayed. The cafe is great, so is the view of the Forum. Must see!
Go to the cafe on top and get a cappuccino and a spinach and ricotta sandwich . Great view of Rome. You can also see about 90% of the forum from an overlook inside. Saves having to pay for that entry.
Great museum . One of the better collections in Rome besides those at the Vatican and not nearly as crowded . Great sculptures and artwork.
Endless amount of works of art . Simply beautiful. Don't forget to spend a few minutes on the terraces to enjoy the view !
In 1471 Sixtus IV Della Rovere donated a collection of ancient bronzes to the people of Rome, locating them on the Capitoline Hill . Open to the public since 1734, thus considered the first museum ever
In the 1st floor room with the Gaul is an open balcony with a plug and a bench -- a perfect spot to take a moment to rest and recharge your phone.
Amazing! If you like history and art here is for you, I suggest to read all rooms background descriptions
Don't miss this place when you're into Greek and Roman sculpture ! If you only see one museum in Rome, make it this.
A great museum about Roman history, also it has a fantastic hidden rooftop cafè with amazing views over Rome.
Housed in the palaces of Palazzo Nuovo and Palazzo dei Conservatori on opposite sides of Michelangelo's piazza del Campidoglio, the Capitoline museums constitute the oldest public gallery in the world
Beautiful museum with a stunning view from the terrace ! The staff at the caffetteria wasn't nice at all

Great museum but a total maze.
