The absolute best hotel in New York (and I've probably stayed in at least a two dozen). But get ready to pay a fortune for everything ... including wi-fi and room service .

Exceptional hotel but they over charge for everything from wifi to just using their coffee machines .

Perfectly located in Central Park south between Columbus circle and the Plaza Hotel . Service is great and the concierge lounge is top rate. Celebrity watch!!

If you have seen other JW Marriott hotels . This one is lower level than the others. And extensive.

In a land of great hotel bars , this one is terrible. I hope Marriott takes notes from the ritz, st Regis, and the plaza (all nearby) and steps it up!

One of the better Marriott properties in the city . If you have status, the concierge lounge is particularly nice.

The Beds are so nice and unlike most hotels the items in rooms aren't cheap . The TV is HD and is really nice along with other items in room. Food is pricey but amazing. Wifi in rooms but costs.

Cesar at the front desk is a true asset to the Essex staff . Great hotel , great service. Love it!

My favourite New York hotel , the service is exceptional.

If you have multiple devices you want to connect to the internet hook up a mac via ethernet, pay for that and share its internet over wifi !

Sarabeth 's, just down the road towards 5th, is a great place for breakfast . Try the Papa Bear porridge !

There's not a whole bunch to choose from delicacies for brunch . The price was hefty as well . Go to Sarabeth 's nearby instead

Really disappointed. Over $500 a night booked well in advance. Elite member. Asked for high floor and got 3rd floor overlooking generators, dreary room, old; nothing like the photos.
