I've been here a couple of times now. The food and beer are both excellent. Beerwise, decent on both cask and keg , with beer such as Beavertown, The Kernel , Bristol Beer Factory . Some veggie options .

Bailey B

Just had burger here. Very nice. Beer very drinkable and loads of choice. Bar staff was great. Only one on as not busy on Sunday aft but very attentive and pleasant. Best I've come across in city

Daniel Rachele

4 cask ales , 10+ beer taps and countless bottled beers - all high quality and of the craft variety. Food is also amazing, with the highlights being the sausage platter and black pudding scotch eggs .

M W

Excellent range of bottled and tap beers . Pretty pricey but worth it for the range available. Drinking in the alley means no getting wet when it rains!

Viv

Best beef and Yorkshire puds for Sunday roast - it comes with a massive knife. Ask for some gravy on the side.

DM

Really good food. Recommend pork belly and creme brûlée

hello_emily

Fantastic beers - great IPAs ! But it's TINY & inevitably filled with city types. Not a place to linger... ????

Lidia Vorontsova

Great choice of beers and a really friendly , I'm-at-my-mate's-flat-party - like atmosphere. Will be back.

Michael Ambjorn

London-priced for sure - yet somewhat made up for by having such a wide selection of IPAs and more.

Sarah Zee

Book early for Sunday lunch ! Lamb is good an so is the Creme caramel ! The guys running this place are so friendly it makes it

Opened again last night after a change of hands. Local real ales and interesting craft beers on keg , all in perfect condition. My new favourite pub in London!

Ralph Mallett

Small pub but good selection of craft beers and ales , as well as homemade bar snacks !

Fred Hamm

The Sunday roast is fantastic, very friendly staff . Definitely will be going back there !

Great beer selection . Lovely chips , and the best scotch egg I have had for ages.

Anna Ellegaard

Cosy little place, very friendly staff & good Pimms!

Angela Liu

This place can get bit stuffy but great selection of beer (in particular IPAs )

Никита Швинагирь

Wide pilsners select. Very nice ground floor and outside stands. Perfect first floor dining room. Awesome burgers . #StupidCowBurger

Alex Iltchev

Had my birthday there in October. Reserved a table. Great atmosphere, food and beer . Near to karaoke for after midnight...

Bobby

Had an amazing beer called Double Chin when I was there. Tasted Belgian. It's pretty crowded on weeknights though.

Chrissy Nakano

Significantly more keg than cask on offer. Should the 10-15 on tap and many options in the bottle

Andrew Visser

Really good beer selection . Be sure to call an book if you want a table upstairs.

Robert Lloyd

This is one of the best pub grub in the area. Steak was choice.

Kerry

Yummy Sunday roasts , make sure you book a table

Lars Panzerbjørn

Great beers , terrible burgers , excellent fries ...

Kieron Woodhouse

Nice, cosy pub with a good selection of craft beer .

Time Out London

A proper pub with a proper Sunday roast , if that’s what you’re after. Located near Smithfield meat market , the emphasis at the Old Red Cow is – quite fittingly – on meat. Read more

Mike Barnard

Delicious food and Corfe Castle right next door. Gorgeous.

Liz Hickson

Barman was rude, aggressive & threatening. Had a drink on a reserved table (which we were aware of) and were demanded by the barman to move when the party arrived 15 mins early for their booking .

Christian BS

Even if it's packed downstairs, the upstairs remains relatively empty...

Melissa Augustine

pulled pork is delicious-- of course wondrous beer

Christian BS

The toilets are hidden to the left of the downstairs bar .

Londonist

Fantastic choice of beers , free jukebox and open on weekends. We love this place.

Luke ???? Murphy-Wearmouth

Recently changed owners and they've gutted the place, stripping all it's charm. No more piano, jukebox or live music . Also much smaller :(

Vasken Jermakian

Good pub with very good food as well .

Lucas Ullrich

Excellent Sunday roast !

Stuart Young

The selection of beers is good but very pricey and the Burger is really not worth £15.

Michael H

Unique beer selection

Sergey K

Great Choice Of Local Beers !

Stiegl. Say no more. Great beer selection and decent looking menu.

Mpora

Ask for the perfect mix of makers mark , coke and a wedge of orange

They have beers from The Kernel !

Sue Spence

Manager a bit snooty, failed to inform me when I enquired about Sunday lunch that they were booked up. I hate having my time wasted.
