What a place!!! Must see if you like history and legends. Though you need to have a guide .
Please educate yourself before entering! We did the whole walkthrough backwards...you should first see the Forum ruins , then the Palatine Hill . It seems to make more sense anyway. Enjoy!
Absolutely gorgeous! It is a must see in Rome. A huge hill overlooking the city . Includes a museum as well .
It's an invaluable experience. We loved all of it! Archeology, history, humanity, aristocracy, luxury living and smart architecture/engineering of past people will make you think more of humanity :)
Amazing views of the city & wonderful ruins to wander through! Worth stopping here first to pick up your combined ticket for the Colosseum as the queues there are absolutely ridiculous.
If possible, go with a guide or an audio tour to get the full picture of what you're seeing. Plenty of water fountains for the hot days.
My absolute favorite. We had a very educated and experienced guide who participated in the dig. She was supremo! My favorite because of the preserved times of Roman society. Quite sacred, I felt.
Some of best views of Rome especially the Colosseum and Roman Forum !!!
Worth going in but go early cause they start closing around 19:00 and the area is enormous so you might want to see everything once and not have to go back again cause you went too late
My absolute favorite part of Rome. I could have spent hours exploring the grounds. If I ever come back to Rome this is what I'm coming back for first and foremost. Don't miss it!
Largest and best preserved ruins of one of the three large public bathhouses of ancient Rome. Not on The Beehive map as it is a bit south near the Circus Maximus.
Typically included in the ticket with the Colosseum and Roman Forum . There isn’t much to see on Palantine Hill as the Roman palaces were destroyed, but there are great views of the Roman Forum
While many tourists consider Palatine Hill just extra credit after the Forum, it offers insight into the greatness of Rome that’s well worth the effort.
Rome is all about history ????
There is a natural spring for drinking just below the Palatino to your west, down the stairs if you're looking at the Palatino from above
Take a left from the Arch of Titus. Some of the majestic views of Roman Forum, Colosseum and Rome.
A nice view from the Roman Forum, the ruins are a fascinating hint at a magnificent architecture .
Very big historical place. 2-3 hours to try to see everything there. Water in snacks are available at the automatic selling points
Audio guide definitely worth it - took around 3.5hours for the Palatine and Forum combined. Queues looked a lot longer entering at the Forum
Take ticket for Coloseo, Forum and Palatinum take comfort shoes gor long walk no restoraunr only one toilet on Palatinum
Get your tickets here for the colosseum. And pay a visit to the amazing views and history here.
You will find mostly ruins , but it's great to learn more about the beggings of Rome. Not so crowded like Forum Romanum .
the Palatine Hill was the location of the cave , known as the Lupercal, where Romulus and Remus were found by the she-wolf that kept them alive. Read more
A lovely park , but the buildings are in serious need of refurbishment. No wonder people don’t live here anymore.
Amazing architecture , beautiful landscape, great views of the city and surrounding historical sites .
Such a interesting place but if you don't get audio guide you can't get a map and unfortunetly inside they don't have proper sign...
Amazing how much history took place in this small area.
What an amazing historic atmosphere there. This place is must see in Rome
This is OK to look at, but with all of the street construction nearby that is trying to undo what Mussolini did with the roads years ago, it takes away a bit of the special-ness of the area.
Get the Roma pass make sure and walk through the quiet open ruins and wild flowers
If you can time your visit for golden hour you’re going to see something really special
Map of the ruins to plan your visit
Amazing place! Recommend to visit for everyone in the Rome!!!
Amazing place... Close your eyes and feel the atmosphere
Follow the legend of the wolf...Here, the she-wolf nursed the twin brothers Remus and Romulus after they were found in a basket by the Tiber.
Great ancient place, inseparable with Rome! Must see
Nice place with ancient history
Worth the hike to the top. Do it.
I like this place, but maybe it´s better to go with guide or audio tour .
Favorite place in Rome. Was very pretty and peaceful .
Dont be just normal tourist , check in and go feel it , history bring us who we are today.
Great view of Rome from the top of the hill .
Go with a guide .. Otherwise you'll be quite confused by all the random ruins and walls..
Great architecture & a good place to visit
Literally step into the history books , such a unique place.
Get a guide so you understand what you're seeing!
Very impressive. Must see in Rome.
Afford yourself a day to take your time to walk through.
Amazing architecture . Fantastic viewpoints
It's huge, must have about 2 hours to see the place properly.. But it is less impressive than Pompeii...
