So awesome! You can touch sea stars, cucumbers , with luck u can see the staff feeding the stars and anemones????! Otters are so cute even eating crab , the staff is very knowledgeable and nice!
Sea Otters are a favorite! Weekends can get a little crowded but Worth it. I've been there with my little ones during the week and it felt like we were the only ones there.
Relatively small aquarium compared to others in the country . However, the focus is on local marine life and it is presented well . Highlights for me were the octopus , underwater dome , and sea otters .
Found Nemo and Dory. It's an amazing experience.. saw the big octopus . Learnt about whales. The volunteers were very friendly .. on the whole it did remind me of high school Biology... :)
It's small but all the exhibits are well done and the underwater dome is great. The touch pools are some of the nicest I've seen. Cafe is tasty too. Try the crab cakes .
Some of the cutest sea life around ????I love the Sea Otter exhibit . Last time I was there we saw a Giant Pacific Octopus doing a puzzle
VERY pricy for a tiny place. The sea otters are adorable. Wish there was more educational material. Touch tanks are fun and staff is knowledgable :)
Wonderful spot to spend the afternoon with friends and family. Especially loved the outside seal pen overlooking piglet sound; quite a sight!
Relatively small aquarium , but it's great for kids! Lots of kid friendly exhibits and activities. Would definitely recommend for families!
Beautiful spot to explore for a few hours. My kids loved the touching pools. The dome and entrance tanks were also stunning.
I never say stuff like this -- but really don't miss this. If you live here or just passing thru this is a very high quality attraction . I have to implore u Foursquare ppl DO NOT MISS.
Enjoyed the aquarium while I was in Seattle and it was raining. Was inside for about a hour and a half checking out many exhibits and the octopus feeding .
The admission line can be long, but it moves quickly! Don't miss out!
Hanging out with the harbor seals alone is worth the trip, but the tropical fish and coral reef are also great. Kids (and grownups!) get a kick out of the touch tanks .
Meeting Tako the Pacific octopus was pretty surreal. ❤️???? ❤️ (Tattoo by Mikhail Anderson @ First Class Tattoos in NYC)
The hands on tide pools are so amazing. My kids love being able to touch while they learn about the sea creatures .
We had a wonderful experience. So much to see and so many animals to discover. Check out the octopus !! Beautiful place for a family outing .
If your family is 4+ buy a membership. Membership includes 2 parents and all children under 18 & gift shop discounts . Much cheaper than indiv admission. You can come back as often as you like for 1yr.
Great way to spend a layover! The baby otter is adorable, focus on the Pacific Northwest is great, but the staff is the best! Very engaging and helpful. The Grunt Sculpin was our favorite! Enjoy!
It's somehow mesmerizing to watch starfish SLOWLY make their way across the water tank. The otters 'holding hands' about killed me with cuteness . Jellyfish gently swirling over your head is magical.
I LOVED Seeing The Happy Otters & Watching The Seals Swim & Play!! The Seattle Aquarium Is AWE-MAZING!! I <3 Marine Life !!
Went here for an awesome wedding! Great place for a wedding! Had access to the entire facility after it was closed and got to watch special feeding of otters.
The exhibits are so cool great for kids for sure and can finish in just over an hour if you rush
Had a great time here. Volunteers are very helpful and engaging. Loved visiting the otters.
They have both river and sea otters ! Also the giant octopus feeding is pretty cool
Has a big tank of critters where you can put your hands in and touch them and a gorgeous walkway the is enclosed by glass under a tank so the creatures swim around you and overhead.
If you're local, just splurge and get a membership. There are so many fun things going on each month, AND you'll also save on camps, in the gift shop and in their cafe .
Awesome informative not a tourist trap shows the animals in great exhibits . Well worth a visit do it with the city pass Seattle if visiting.
Located on the waterfront next to the Omnidome, this aquarium features exotic fishes , sea mammals & other ocean life. See the sea lions, harbor seals , sea otters & even come face to face with a shark.
Sea lions and otters are so cute ! Pretty small place for your money, but if you have kids, lots of interactive stuff.
NASA awarded the Seattle Aquarium Society $500k in June 2009 to integrate ocean science information gathered from space into its marine mammal exhibits and educational programming. Read more
Aquarium boxes are super clean , so nice pictures are easy to get.
We dare you to try and take a picture with the largest sea creature possible, follow that up with visiting the Orca and seeing if you can hear the noise they make.
Had a great time here. Not just fun for kids , pretty cool for the adults too. And there's a "petting zoo " aquarium style lol
Worth the price if you have kids - and even if you don't. Check out the jelly fish and otters for sure.
Have an SPL or KCLS library card? Check their websites to see if free passes are available!
The seals were great, my baby loved them as did my big kids. The hands on exhibits were awesome.
Don't come here hungry! Good thing there are lots of seafood restaurants nearby :)
Beautiful place for a holiday party. Classy and attentive staff
It's a small aquarium and exhibits are limited. But they have some cool things and you can touch the sea star exhibit .
They do have a message with their education , but don't indoctrinate.
I love aquariums , and this is the best one I have seen. A must visit imo.
If you are local, a membership makes sense cost wise.
Unless you have a real affinity for fish fish fish fish and fish , you might not enjoy yourself... Friendly people and a little crowded ...
The outdoor exhibits were good, but If you've experienced an aquarium in other cities this one probably won't live up to the expectations. Just wasn't all that impressed.
Smaller aquarium for a city of Seattle’s size but an interesting stop on a rainy day.
Seriously great Aquarium , definitely worth the price of admission. Something for the entire family.
Check prices online before you come- more expensive than I would think for an aquarium . Worth it, just know the commitment.
Halibut and larger exhibits . Pretty poor for a great City . Get to work Seattle!!
The otters alone are worth the price of admission!
