Brooklyn Bridge Promenade

Perfect view . Take many photos. Be respectful of the cyclists . A must do on a beautiful summer day during sunset .

This walk is always longer than it seems, but it also always very rewarding. Take a stroll from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Once in BK you have the options to visit DUMBO or The Heights

If you're already halfway there, finish it. If you're walking towards Brooklyn, either get ice cream from Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory at Dumbo or have a cup of hot chocolate at Jacque Torres. Or both!

Don't hesitate to take risk (like stepping above the hole where you can see the car under..) to take the best picture of this amazing bridge .

Don't overshoot DUMBO, an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. Take the 1st stairs to street level , bringing you to Washington St, at the corner of Prospect St. - Green Guide Editor

Have walked this super awesome and historic Trail twice in both directions By The Way. 2002 and 2008 By The Way.

Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (bet. Joralemon St. and Grace St.) This pedestrian walkway offers spectacular views of Downtown Manhattan, the East River and the Brooklyn Bridge .

Love it, one of my favorite trails in the entire US.

The New York World Building was the tallest building from 1890 to 1894. It was demolished in 1955 to accommodate the expanded Brooklyn Bridge entrance Ramp. Read more

A great walk with awesome views of the Manhattan skyline.

Take the subway to Brooklyn and cross over to Manhattan. This way, you can see the beautiful views of the city .

Historic. Better for walk/run. Don't try to bike too fast--use Manhattan bridge . The tourist hordes here will jump in your way for a selfie.

Enjoy the view , but be mindful of pedestrians and bicyclists during peak hours!

One of my favorite places in the city . A good decent walk here will clear your head.

Watch out for crazy speedy bikers! Contrary to the lines on the ground , they ALWAYS have the right of way...
