Like any other NYC running paths, it does get crowded but sometimes going later in the evening helps. I like the running view

Enjoy tennis courts , rowing, boating docks, and playgrounds along the West Side Highway. A peaceful running path is perfect for early morning joggers and bikers.

We much prefer this running path to the one on the East River . The view is incredible, and there's plenty of space for both runners and bikers .

If you decide to run on the bike lane, keep your eyes open and the cyclists won't really mind. Water fountains almost every mile - amazing!
