Really tasty Japanese place. The sushi is quite basic, but all the other dishes are really tasty and some quite interesting. Quiet and cozy atmosphere .

Good atmosphere however the music was too loud and it's hard to have conversation. Really enjoyed the zucchini flowers , fish head ... The pork belly was very tender with nicely done crispy skin

We had the crispy pork belly with yuzu salt. Amazingly delicious, melt-in-your-mouth meat with a delicate crispy crackling . Sensational. A new close-to-home favourite! <3

Must order teriyaki beef ribs - sous vide ribs glazed with teriyaki . Fingers will get sticky. KFC FTW! Number 9 sake was yum apparently 'floral'. Order off the menu w drinks eg #9 sake&grapefruit juice

Get the awesome fish head to share, along w the more reasonably sized crispy pork belly or teriyaki rib . Pick for sashimi is the bonito salad . Finish w kumquat choc jaffa FTW.

Wagyu beef buns are to die for! Order early as they take a while...

The beef ribs are amazing, no doubt. But the Wagyu Beef Sagari - recently upgraded from a marble score of 5 to 9 (and Kenji 's Fried Chicken )...that's my JAM !

My faves out of the 8 things we ordered: Kingfish Nuta w. Tortilla , KFC, prawn & chicken wonton , sashimi tasting plate. And leave room for dessert ! Yum 

If it's on the specials menu, make sure you have the fish jaw....amazingly tasty & grilled to perfection! Oh, and Charlie's white negroni is the perfect drink to start!

Modern Japanese bar restaurant . Enjoyed the Wagu beef and salted cashew with coffee sorbet .

Go the fish head & fried chicken for extreme satisfaction. Nab a seat at the bar & perve at Kenji 's mad knife skills.

Get the straw smoked duck special in your belly

Snapper namban , good, fleshy pieces of fresh, lightly fried fish soaked and cloaked in finely sliced vinegared onion . Addictive.

Sashimi plate and beef ribs were AMAZEBALLS!!

Must order bonito salad , sake tasting set, fried chicken , & sword fish belly - Oishi

Simply amazing food.

Food was great especially the beef rib and fried chicken . WORST service I have ever experienced in Sydney. Missed orders, food / drink not turning up, refused BYO Cake for Bday. "NO" is the word.

The legendary beef ribs is no longer "legendary". Expect it to be served chewy and the waitress to blame it on "the cut of meat we received today". Shame really. Shame on the chef .

The chocolate ice cream with bourbon is divine

Oh and the snapper namban ! Yum yum yum!
