I am surprised that panko rice balls always get the praises and nobody ever mentioned their desserts . Yuzu souffle is heavenly. if you like light and refreshing desserts , that is.
Excellent sushi , sashimi and Robata dishes in a buzzy, cool and happening atmosphere. The new style sashimi is to die for. Try also the grilled eggplant , Scampi Tempura , and Nigiri Sushi set.
The place is for your dining with friends, couple with chic , trendy & cozy ambience . Sushi roll , sashimi , wagyu strip loin are all good to try. Nixon & S Express Sushi Roll May be good for you.
7 course was amazing with pairing wines . All staff were friendly and watching the chefs from the bar was exciting. They greet new customers in Japanese when they come through. Real buzzing place!
Stylish ...this is where the beautiful people go for Japanese but don't let the scene or price tag put you off- the food is legit and service is great. The sashimi tacos are dear but tasty.
9 course tasting menu is a must. Very busy for lunch . Great service!!! Highly recommended, Sake double bay needs to get some couching from Sake Argyle Street.
A restaurant like this only exists in New York, London and Sydney - It's kind of an adventure eating here. On top of that, the food is delicious!
Wonderful Japanese food . Had lamb chops , octopus , pork belly , sashimi and nigiri . The best Japanese food I've ever had.
Popcorn shrimp , sushi set (salmon belly is killer) and zen old fashioned will do you right
The food here is very nice but the atmosphere was not that nice with very loud music in the background. This meant for a fine dining restaurant you had to talk very loud to the person next to you.
Get the sake sampler! And trust the waitstaff to know what to bring you. The jalapeño kingfish sashimi was out of this world
Ever had a sake bomb ? You take a pony of beer , rest two chopsticks on the rim of the glass, then gently balance a shot glass of sake on top of the chopsticks. Take your two fists, cry "ichi! Nee! San! Read more
Do as foursquare says - get the prawn dumplings ! (And the ginza Bellini is refreshing!)
The flagship of Shaun Presland's Japanese brilliance. Grab the popcorn shrimp , Salon S Express roll and a bottle of something effortlessly German and white. Awesome awesome awesome
Must be one of the best sushi places I've ever seen (be sure I've seen a few).
Steamed prawn dumplings are top, better than New Shanghai in chattswood.
You will not be disappointed. This has become my favourite restaurant in Australia.
Kozaemon yuzu really live up to its reputation. A mix taste of lemon and very mellow. Easy to drink during summer.
Can there be any better match for Riesling than Japanese food . Tap 'DONE' if you matched Chef Sean Preslands amazing food with a riesling .
Take a risk & try something you've never eaten before. Thank me later.
Get the degustation menu !
The Hattori Hanzo is to die for!
Nothing out of the ordinary. The dishes were quite simple and we were not completely satisfied. I think I could say that I will not remember this restaurant and that I love Japanese food .
Try the tasting menu , everything was delicious.
Sushi set reminds me of Japan. Pricey but pretty good quality fish .
don't miss the gindara !
This place came out with flying colours, then the service dropped off after entree. Great food, nice staff-pity management has failed to forecast correctly for peak times.
The caramelised cod was the standout, but everything was good.
Sashimi , rolls, tempura vegetables
Atmosphere is Nobu on steroids!
Popcorn shrimp with creamy spicy sauce
Sashimi tacos are wonderful
Sashimi taco is a must
best Kingfish Cappaccio Jalapeno . And all round good Japanese food .
shumai inspired dumplings delicious
The toothfish was incredible.
King fish Jalapeñ o!!!
An over priced tourist trap in the heart of The Rocks. Service and food are both hit and miss...unless you're famous.
Our fave Japanese. Love the cocktails !
Ask for Wayne, who is the king of Sake "sommeliers "
Fantastic ! Very very delicious ! One of my favorite japonese restaurant in Sydney.
¡¡¡¡¡excelente!!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant !
The food is yummy but it took so long to come!! Dont come here if you are already starving!
You MUST try the Yuzu . Outstanding citrus flavour explosion!
Everything it's like Nobu
If you leave before trying the shumai prawn dumplings , you're a fool.
Service is not the best, but food is good. Kingfish sashimi jalapeño is fantastic. Unusual cocktails too.
Fantastic venue, great food - kingfish sashimi my favourite!
Sit at the counter and watch all the action..its Gary Mehigan favourite spot too
overpriced japanese, but nicest environment
Order the chicken karaage. Succulent meat with fluffy batter and sweet chilli sauce. The BEST. - Geoff Kim
Must order bonito salad, sake tasting set, fried chicken, & sword fish belly - Oishi - Mooksy ♔
Friendly staff and the mixologists know their craft. Great place to catch up with friends before heading out. - Paul Canterbury
