If you run South on the path , there's a great moment, you suddenly notice Lady Liberty at the end of the island . You're in New York City and she's right here with you. Terrible turf fields though.

Access the soccer and softball fields via Houston St. Otherwise, the next closest pedestrian access over the FDR is by the Williamsburg Bridge . Great cycling and running paths along the East River .

Enjoyable throughout the entire year, this park claims an amphitheater , bike paths , playgrounds , sports fields , gardens , children’s water playgrounds , and walking paths .

Once you manage to get past running across FDR, East River Park is a wonderful place for a jog.

Good for "running"... Honesty I don't run, but the roadway lighting is good HIIT cardio . It is also a great spot to sit with friends family and your significant other.

The East River Park has a waterside boardwalk, several baseball and soccer fields , playgrounds , and all sorts of picnic spots.

Born & raised in the LES. This park was the site of many childhood summer days. Check out the free entertainment @the amphitheater refurbished via a donation by Erin Brokoich.

Wonderful park with a great view on the Williamsburg Bridge

Lounge by the East River or take a jog on the running path , which ends on the Lower East Side .

I love this are, I can lay on the grass and have dogs playing around. If u are not a dog friendly don't come!

Great cycling and walking park and a great sport to see fireworks ..

If you get to 14th street, you can either go right for a nice run along the river with parks and a track course. Or go left toward 34th, more hills and steps, a great work out.

Great views and lots of sports and activities to participate in.

Scenic views , mini parks , and great running routes.

It's nice to see brooklyn from here. Also the Manhattan bridge and super fast ships.

Definitely not one of New York's finest parks but great place for people watching .

Great place to watch fireworks . Wasn't too crowded at all.

Great place to run, not over crowded because most people run on the trail next to the water.

Solid Park on the east side

outdoor gym near houston street = great place to get some cross training into your jog

Running uptown ends at 38th st, where you can veer off into the streets or attempt to jump over the fence. Warning: there are helicopters

Ask the locals if they remember an Ace pitcher named Petkanics.

Beware of crazy Chinese woman in pink t-shirt, she goes around yelling out curses to everyone she doesn't like with no reason
