One of the elite pizza places in Oakland. Not better than Zachary 's, but with a very nice full bar and just as kid friendly , it may edge out Zachary 's in terms of the overall experience.

Sat at the bar on a quiet Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the zucchini flat crust pizza , which was just enough for two. Delicious! Would like to come back for a date night for pizza and beer/cocktails.

Great Pizzas , great location, great ambiance! Love the option to personalized my pizza , gluten-free, and my guests can have their pizzas thin crust or deep fry. They have happy hour , too!

On weekdays they have individual sizes available in either deep dish or regular. Great cornmeal crust. Full Bar ! Plenty of room. It's not a Little Star, it's "The Star".

Amazing pizza - the crust on the deep dish is crunchy goodness. Excellent cocktails , great atmosphere, often difficult to stop by - make a reservation .

The corn bread crust works best with deep dish but the thin crust is passable. Would pick it over Zachary 's any day. NB: the garlic bread is plain sourdough with ramekins of butter and roasted garlic .

The pizza was cooked to perfection! It was the perfect balance of dough and crunch with so much flavor.

Four of us shared a large meatball appetizer and a large Telegraph deep dish pizza . Amazing value, absolutely delicious.

So incredibly addicted to this place. Sorry Zachary 's, The Star is better. We often order pick-up and get the Gold Coast deep dish almost every time.

The table didn't fit two people but we made the best of it. The pizza as always is amazing. Remember it's 30mins for the deep dish .

The meatballs are good as well as the pizza and the wings got to order them crispy !!!! Definitely recommend

They have changed the menu and they dropped one of my favorites (The Telegraph). Even the quality has dropped. The last few visits have been underwhelming.

Service is very very nice! The cocktails are ok. The food is good, is just such a particular style that I think you can find better around. For the same price. Overall good, not fantastic.
