Jolly Judge

Low beamed ceilings, log fire and a tranquil atmosphere, this is Scottish hospitality at its best. Sample the wide range of malt whiskies, real ales and tempting bar lunches.

Very nice small pub , cozy and fun! There are also a few seats outside , it was really nice to sit and have a drink there!

Ian

Increasingly good range of well kept, unusual and new beers from Scottish brewers!

Halsted Bernard

I'll always have a soft spot for this place because my husband used to chat with me on the free WiFi at the Judge way back in 2003. It's cozy , central, and has outdoor seating for warm summer nights.

Lisa Klerhed

Nice small pub , recommend if you want to get away from the tourists . Was there during cider festival . Their range of beer and cider is well above average.

Echo Hu

A little underground tavern, warm cozy friendly , has its own style!

Matt Mitgang

Right by the castle but without the tourists . Good beer and reasonable prices

Justin H

Great place for a pint on the mile. They have a nice selection of Scottish craft beers .

Uli Schlegel

Cool Pub with nice stuff and staff , not too crowdy; especially considered the area.

C S

Great selection of beers , just hidden off the royal mile.

Christina Argiropoulou

Try the daily soup !!!

Christopher S.

Christina Argiropoulou

No music , warm, self service....great soup try it ????????

Rachel K

Old dark, slightly damp basement pub which might be exactly what you'd want, or is too depressing and smelly. Does have good local beer selection .

Adrián

A kind of hidden gem , lovely small pub

Peder Stray

Nice selection of both beer and cider .

Ruben De Meester

Nice, cosy bar without music ! And good malts .

Chris Meechan

Too cramped and is probably never quiet enough to enjoy a laid back pint which is unfortunate as they had a decent beer selection

Kat Dadswell

Lovely selection of whiskies , don't miss out. Great roaring fire inside too :)

Chris Hodgson

Use the house wifi as there is no signal.

Duncan Birch

Good honest Scottish pub

Maria G.

Excellent pub and lovely debate about Scotland 's independence movement

Kristen Walker

Friendly staff great service

Peter Sigrist

Good pint of Tennent's. (And since you're in Scotland ...)

Sheila Sato

I didn't like, expensive with not many options for tap beer and the outside sittings smell bad.

Evgeny Bik

Just a simple authentic pub with cheap grub !

Jimmy Angelakos

Was too full, couldn't get in

LoPavlo

Mucho calor dentro... pero en la terracita en verano se está de lujo !
