On a good sunny day the view from the top of the tower is AMAZING. Going right when they open means you can enjoy the views without crowds.
One of the best things to pay for in Montreal. Too bad you've got to go in the Winter time to have the night life view of the city before it's closed.

Before purchasing tickets, be sure to ask the ticket attendant what the viewing conditions are and if you qualify for one of many discounts (student, senior, AAA, etc.).
