The murgh chicken biryani is one of the best I've ever had. The cooks bring out flavors that are usually hard to detect in the spices and the chicken is tender, not too soft or hard. Simply marvelous.
A wonderful experience, though I typically can't bring myself to pay excessive amounts of money for Indian food . Junoon did a great job on our private event , and I've had a great HH here in the lounge
The tasting menu is a must. I wish the dishes were more “saucey” but it’s a beautiful menu nonetheless.
Good tasting menu . Try the eggplant salad , very delectable ! Ambience is nice and service excellent. Take a good look at the spice room in the basement . Interesting.
Has to be one of the best restaurants in the city . The breaded cauliflower is excellent, as is the ghost pepper chicken . The best thing, in my opinion, is the za’atar style junoon naan .
The mirchi pakoda has a very subtle spicy flavor to it. The chutneys that come with it, complement the pakoda really well . A very good appetizer .
This is not your typical Indian restaurant - be prepared to be wowed by the impeccable service , delicious cocktails , and of course amazing food. I recommend their lamb dishes and the dal.
I'm blown away that this restaurant doesn't have a 9.0 rating or better. Food was great! Although there may be some reticence to ethnic cuisine, the palate of the food really is great for everyone.
High end-fancy-great tasting food w amazing service in NYC.Must try-lasooni gobi and nadru kofte . Pomegranate mai tai was refreshing. ABSOLUTELY divine- junoon spiced naan-worth the calorie overload:)
Chipotle chicken tikka and paneer pekoras to start with nadru kofte and chicken biryani for the main course. All were excellent. Next time I'll try the brussels. Pay with Cover.
The desserts were amazing and the service was gracious and impeccable. Our dinner was just the thing to make me believe in the New York dining scene again. A must visit!
The best Indian food in NY, order murg Tikka mirza Hasan , murg lababdar and chicken biryani :-) this portion is good for two
Best dammed service of any restaurant . Had an off the menu , menu tasting. Delicious and great presentation as well , as good of presentation as Indian food can have.
Some of the best Indian food in the city . Lamb chops are fantastic but you really can't go too wrong. Beware of the cheese naan . It will lure you in
My favorite Indian place in NYC. The design of the place is impeccable with a great ambience and the food is rich and delicious. A little on the pricy side.
For dessert , the cardamom sponge is otherworldly. It comes with a slice of khulfi (Indian ice cream ). The play of textures is a delight on top of sweetness.
Come Tuesday or Wednesday night to the bar and you will be served by the best bartender in NYC - Mike! I love the off menu cocktails - the spicy margarita and the vodka infused with cardamon !
Definitely get the prix fixe if you have a big group. Food is delicious and high quality. Don't miss the desserts especially the cardamom one.
Came here to try the restaurant week. A delicious flavorful experience from the bar to the restaurant . Try the Adraki Punch btw ;)
What an amazing experience, from the service to the food to the cocktails ! Worth every penny - and it does cost quite a few pennies!
Go for Prefix menu - everything from appetizer to main course and dessert was just amazing! Worth the experience and loved the food. ????
Loved the Piri-Piri Shrimp appetizer . The mushroom curry with the whole wheat naan is delicious! The lamb chops were quite fatty but still good.
Trust the bartender , especially if he's Michael. Go on a tour of off-the-menu whiskey cocktails and you'll never come back. If you're nice, he'll make you a bourbon-honey-ginger-guava slice of heaven.
If you're looking for standard Indian fare, this is not the place. This is high-end stuff. The flavors and spices brought me back to my trip to India and everything was amazing!
Trendy with a touch of Indian-styled décor, a refined menu and a noteworthy selection of wine . The dishes are small and perfect for sharing! We love coming here with a big group.
Dhall was amazing, naan was delicious. The mushrooms in a cream sauce was disappointing. Worth a visit if craving Indian food in NYC, my constant affliction.
So tips from an Indian-the lamb boti kebabs and the tandoori lamb chops are NOT good. Better dishes are the eggplant chaat (kinda), the shahi goat (really good!) and the lamb kolhapuri.
Best high end Indian restaurant in the city . Run by amazing people who have the utmost highest respect for food and drink. Outstanding.
Such a great spot. I loved the Paneer Pakoras and the Hyderabad Chicken Khorma. Their kulfi is a great way to close out the meal. Sat in the lounge area . Definitely earned their Michelin star .
They have excellent lunch thali . At $25 a piece they give you three entrees along with bread . They have both vegetarian and non vegetarian options .
Upscale Indian food representing all regions of India. Lighter than usual. Naan and other breads truly amazing. Fantastic choice for vegetarians , good for crowds and special occasions .
Tandoori chicken wrap - Culinary creative director Aliya LeeKong found a new use for the restaurant’s signature tandoori chicken with this lunch dish . Read more
Good food-poor attitude. Too many rules.can’t order a la carte in diningroom-every one has to order menu, if one does. Can’t order dishes from set menu-cheap restaurant in India attitude. Why the star
Flatiron's Junoon takes Indian cuisine to the next level. This spot covers all bases of Indian cooking , from tandoor to cast-iron & open-fire-pit cooking to stone-searing. We love the Chicken Malvan.
The lal mirch paneer And mirch murgh In the appetizer and the laal maas are must try
Junoon’s underground spice room is at the heart of the restaurant’s every dish. Every spice used is ground fresh daily—giving each masala and curry a unique aroma that couldn't be found in a box.
A top end spot with great food. Can be expensive so the smart move here is lunch for the 3 course price fixe is only $25.
Amazing experience at Junoon. <aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="http://www.honeywhatscooking.com/2016/08/outstanding-michelin-star-experience-junoon-nyc.html/"target="_blank" data-sig="fJdtqZJqqpfsEqD8kMPjdVuastQ=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">http://www.honeywhatscooking.com/2016/08/outstanding-michelin-star-experience-junoon-nyc.html/</a>
The eggplant chaat is incredible. Each ingredient stands out without being overpowering.
Best Lamb Chops you would have ever tasted! Not on menu is Crab Moily a speciality dish with an Indian twist..Chefs Fav- A must try!
Nice, upscale place . Their naans do not match up Utsav's, but the dishes are very flavorful, with a lot of different spices which are well balanced.
Such an affordable lunch special . Tasty to boot! I forget what I ate but I liked it a lot.
Staff is attentive and the interior is romantic . Ate in the patiala room, but I think the regular dining area seemed cozier. Had the duck - def too salty for my taste. Naan is like heavenly clouds.
This place is fantastic, but expensive . Dont miss the Piri-Piri Shrimp , Lahsooni Gobi, and the (cherry/apricot/pistachio) Peshwari Naan .
strange experience: on one hand, the fusion of two cuisines genuinely works but the dining rooms don't - both lacking energy. the cavernous back room feels like a waiting room at an airport lounge .
Piri-piri shrimp at JunoonChef Vikas Khanna channels the Portuguese-influenced cuisine of Goa, India, in this taste-bud–singeing starter. A conflagrant paste of dried piri-piri chilies, ginger and...
The food was good and rich with amazing spices. I would come back..the taste is still in my mouth yum yum
Come early to try a cocktail or two from star bartender Hemant Pathak. Well worth it. Junoon is an amazing experience
The ghost chili app spicy but manageable, super delicious. My friend got the lamb ; my bite was incredible.
Lamps chips are amazing.. Eggplant ???????????????? don't miss it
$10.95 lunch buffet is delicious and definitely more than worth the price. Naan, 2 kinds of rice, 3 veggie and 2 chicken options. Plus 5 chutneys! - Casey Schoonover
Their Indian breads for weekend brunch is amazing. Love their Chola Bhatura - Mel Q
Nutella crepes! And the rooftop restaurant with Great views and food is a must! - Alex Currie
Beautiful park, plenty of seating, really nice in the evenings. Shake shack always has a line, but it's worth the wait - Justin McKissick
