PONY DINING is a marvellous Australian Restaurant in Sydney’s The Rocks. Best brisket , best steak and best entree for 2018. Check out full review up on Spooning Australia.
Loved it here. Lobster tails were succulent and the lamb was perfect. The broccoli also very good. The smoky flavour is the key difference.
There is a regular $38 special where you can choose a main, entree or desert and a glass of wine .
The Roasted Cauliflower $12 is incredible, Woodfire Grilled Salmon $28 is tiny and overpriced, lunch special burger is good but the bun is very average, Good service , great atmosphere. Worth visiting.
The food was very good considering how touristy the area is.
Possibly the best scotch fillet I've ever eaten, the beans were perfectly cooked. Everything was delicious and the service impeccable. Highly recommended.
If you don't have a reservation you can sit on the patio in the bar area. The put a board on a little table. A bit awkward, but the food is worth it.
Make sure you book or be prepared to wait. Ever a favourite Pony's menu changes with a regularity that keeps even the locals interested. Good wine list-go buy the bottle and the beef cheek is gold
Exceptional service, divine food. Get a table inside by the window. Save room for the Creme brûlée or chocolate mousse cake .
Tucked away in The Rocks, this is a modern restaurant to dine in for their small plates to share. Great vibe
Excellent dining experience. Food, wine , service and atmosphere. All enjoyable.
The food is always amazing, wood fire oven locks in all the juices of the fish and meats. Staff friendly and helpful. Great vibe, schmick & classy but not arrogant and still relaxed. Impressive.
The 12 hour brisket just melts in your mouth. Nice wine menu . Cool vibes.
"can we order some wine ?" "Oh, I'll come back for the wine ." 25 min later, stop other waitress ; order cab sav and Tempranillo; 5 min later "was that a Chardonnay ?";10 min later bring Sav Blanc . WUT?
Great steaks and good selection of drinks.
Great steaks , awesome pumpkin cheesecake .
Excellent brisket . Great Old Fashioned cocktail . Yum!!
High end Australian food such as kangaroo . Brisket was wonderfully tender.
Tasty food & pretty drinks!
Desserts are the go and must choose the fresh Mango Roulade and the Dark Chocolate Tart !
Awkward shared plates portions

Be very precise when you order, we had meal arrive late and only one of our deserts arrive
Try the brisket
Try the creme brûlée for dessert !!
So disappointed- we asked for a medium steak it was overcooked, and the manager tried to argue with us about our order. I won't be going back!
Avoid the outdoor dining if you can
Mediocre food at best. Nothing to rave about.
The most amazing fine dining food I've ever had. Custard Apple Snow Egg from the Sampling Menu. Enough Said! - Rob M
Croquettes are amazing! Better than the polenta chips... But they're still good too. - Celia Wright
The seating was perfect with a view on the bridge and the opera. The four course menu was really good and just enough. You can also order drinks from the bar. Service was superb! ???? - Lisa Starbucks
Absolutely an amazing complex! Its history is unique. Guided tour is essential. Right after the tour you have a discount for a show! I had a chance to watch Tosca! - Suna A.
