This place is truly a diamond in the rough. $5 entrance fee (cash only ). Pack a lunch & wear your no-slip rock shoes . Watch out for the jellyfish & crabs . Don't forget, Take a million pictures.

Beautiful. On the ocean side, you can see McWay Falls, and inland, you can hike Ewoldson Trail - super dusty 4.5 mile uphill loop.

The hike up valley view is worth the pit stop. Full restaurant and gift shop on site. Helpful staff . Killer scenery

Make sure to buy a map! You’ll need it and it’s only $2 (they take cash only for maps)

This is a hard hike with many stairs to climb and the waterfalls is just ok. I would pick a different hike if I come back.

Lindsay Brooke

The hike up the mountain - not the one to the water fall- is amazing through the red wood trees . Challenging and rewarding.

The Big Sur river gorge pool gives you so much room for swimming and diving and we even found a rope swing for added excitement and danger.

Skip parking at the park . Park across the street, and hike up Buzzard 's (which is just OK), or keep driving to Sycamore Canyon Dr and hit the beach
