Come to this underrated body of water in northern Central Park , where you won't find tourists and can chill on a bench overlooking the lake . You can take a walk around for different views
Think of this as the JKO Reservoir of the north. It's roughly 1 mile of mostly asphalt or gravel around the meer, making it a great running route. Plus there are plenty of hilly detours if you choose.
Go Fish ! Head to the nearby Dana Discovery Center, which loans out free poles, along with bait and helpful fishing tips. Angle for largemouth bass, catfish , bluegill sunfish, chain pickerel, and carp. Read more
You won't find a swarm of map carriers like downtown, in this park . Come for solitude and peace . The occasional festival makes it's presence in summer months . Perfect for sky gazing and blade blazing.
A hidden gem at the northeast end of Central Park , and among the most beautiful, elegant and serene offerings from the world's greatest natural resource.
Fishing here is for practice only, meaning that you have to return the fish to the lake except for one species that is extremely invasive. Be sure to read the signs for more info and pics of the fish .
If you love dogs or have a dog this is the place to be. It's a pleasant morning run for me. Starts to get a little busy about 7:45 during the week.
During the summer this is the place to be for great world music , between sunning, fine picnic food and just a great experience (not a bad place to people watch too).

beautiful lake with swans, lots of hills and rocks to climb facing the lake . follow path along fifth ave and you will come to the nature conservatory full of beautiful flowers .

Surprisingly great! The chandelier is fascinating. Exhibitions are carefully curated. It's much less crowded so quite enjoyable. Guided tours are at 3pm - WEI WEI
