Needs to be a bit greened up, but a nice place to sit and grab a bite to eat.
The place is honestly a let down (even during the OWS raid, trust me I was there) but you have to go to say to your non NYC friends that you've been.

A good place to see Christmas illuminations and a Christmas tree

A lunch and reading oasis in the financial district. Not very green but lots of seating.
Eat a slice of pepperoni pizza from Steve's pizza from across the street and wash it down with a Diet Dr. Pepper !
This is a great place to hang out on a summer night - clean and not too noisy for the location. Pick up some halal or ice cream nearby.
Good breeze here and in front of Brown Brothers (benches ) allowing for a chance to beat the heat.
Police hate in the shadow of the world trade center . The world has forgotten; all the cops gave some, some of them gave it all.
Caught the guy mopping the tables with a old used mop. Makes you think twice about eating or resting on it.
This was the site of Occupy Wall Street . Never forget that!
