Been a long time since I've been back. I love the texture of the noodles & the soft egg is my fav. I tried a limited time offer of their special tomato soup . It was good with chunks of tomatoes .

MacBannon

Tried original and black. Great quality and flavour . Tip : go for a higher spicy level if you like spicy - if not you’ll miss a bit of the spicy kick . Levels 1 and 2 are nothing ...

Michelle Chin

very fast service , offers English menu, personally found the portion too small - but you can ask for more noodles when you order. loved the atmosphere and can't wait to try their other ramen !

Rohit

Amazing ramen - and very affordable . I got the red king. Be careful with spice levels - as it can get spicy . Super tasty!

Ashley Chan

Squid ink ramen looks weird but it's so good! Soup is creamier and thicker than usual ramen broth. Portions are pretty small. I definitely want to go back to try the green ramen .

Andrey

The ramen in Hong Kong. Treat with respect. Might be a bit crowded in the evening, but it's worth it.

I find that this place is so much better than Ippudo in food quality. I like how you get to customize your ramen with what you want in it.

Benoit Travers

Great soup and ramen . Try the green ramen for something that feels fresh.

Evgeny Gorodetsky

Very well prepared and tasty ramen (tried the black one), place is small, so you would probably need to wait in the queue.

Enrico Susatyo

The line is quite long. The wait can be up to one hour in busy period, but only 10 minutes when it's quiet . Each bowl of ramen is $95. I think it's the best ramen in Hong Kong.

Kailey L.

Still my favourite ramen place , mostly for their rich flavoured pork bone soup base. The new location is more comfy than the old one, no line up on a Sunday morning at 11:30.

Roger Ma

Get their "green king" if you're looking for something different! The Parmesan cheese hits the spot when it mixes with the soup base!

Anne D.J.

Go for Butao then increase richness to the max and you’ll get the same muddy creamy richness of Red without much of the heat 👍

Sengaporean

A must eat in HK. Best ramen ever. Everything from the veg , char Siew , noodles to the soup is fantastic. Come early as they usually sell out and close at 730pm

Khai Yi Khor

Should try the Butao signature ramen ! Famous for its rich flavor slow-cooked pork bone soup indeed.

Jon

Best Ramen I found in HK, and I tried a few. That broth has crazy flavour. Not such a fan of their black king . The queue isn't that bad at dinner , really.

Hongjai

Good ramen . Nice thick broth. The cwb branch was one of my go to places for ramen . Go less oil with medium firm noodles

Jackie Say No

You choose how you want your ramen made. If you like spicy go higher than recommended level 1.

Leslie Lin

Spicy ramen is definitely the ramen of choice. Spicy but not too overwhelming

crown

I tried the tonkotsu ramen . The soup had a nice silky texture and rich taste. But the noodles .. The noodles had a noticable odor of alkali salts (ammonia smell) commonly used in HK wonton noodles .

Sarah

Really worth the price: reasonable amount of noodle and meat. You can also customise your ramen . Try: black king

Matt Ta-Min

Excellent ramen . All elements from oil to broth to firmness of noodles is customisable. You must also order the additional egg .

If you visit Butao alone, you may skip the queue. Tell the staff you are not in a group, and s/he will invite you directly inside the restaurant if there is a spot for one person.

Marina Boevska

Loved the black king ! Went to 3 ramen places in HK and liked Butao the most

Joseph Wan

Best ramen ever. The miso soup base and the pork bone one was brilliant!! No better ramen in hk .

Robert helgerth

excellent ramen , fast, good service . try the spice cu version!

Sami Al-Bakri

Amazing ramen in whatever style you like! Careful of the spice as it can get very hot.

Vanessa Martini

Go for the "chef 's choice"... can't go wrong... just careful with the spiciness ...

Sandra Kassing

The black king ramen is excellent. And even though the place is small, waiting time is quite short .

bonnie pan

really the best ramen in hk among all ramen restaurant , worth to try

Richard Qi

best ramen I had. recommend the black king . It like the spanish back rice but in Ramen form. FANTASTIC!

Harish Hoon

The red king ramen is the best I've ever had!

Tim Cresner

Had to wait a little bit in the rain but they provides umbrellas, ramen was great, careful cos the spicy one is super fiery

Charlotte Yeow

Go during off peak hours to avoid the queue!

Racheal Leow

One of the best tonkotsu ever served!

Nicholas Yudha

One of the best ramen here they said.

J T

Green ramen - pesto with Parmesan cheese . Air con not turned on high enough for the hot soups

@JaumePrimero

was the ramen good? Yes. Was it worth waiting for an hour? No. My humble opinion, Mist? in CWB is just as good and you don't have to wait forever.

Max Lmn

Recommended by the Ramen otaku. Perfect for a quick snack

Dee Gotauco

If you plan to order the black king best to be wearing dark colored clothing unless you want to walk out with stained clothing

Lucy Cabrera

It’s really good ramen but it’s also really expensive ramen .

Gema Gerelsaikhan

The best ramen in town .. Come around 1200 and wait only 5 min..

Alvaro

Perfect Ramen

Justine Tai

good service , good ramen . If you can wait, eat it. If you can't, you're missing out.

Andrew Au

Come early (or late) and by yourself to avoid long queues

Erik Childs

Red King ramen is fantastic!

Lynda Vuong

Came early (before 6:30) barely had to wait! Line got crazy as we left. Best ramen in HK !

Oz Wilde

Just reopened on Wellington opposite Nha Trang. Dueling lunchtime noodle queues

Sandy Pao

15 min for one on a weekday at 3:30pm; 20 for a couple; 30 for a group of 4. Weekday lunch - 1hr+ for all

Momoko

Less salt and soy sauce for Black King , or it is just too salty with squid ink .
