Braised duck noodle . Enjoyed my bowl from Ban Lee Heng 萬利兴鸭面•饭 01-33. Clean flavours. Well-braised meat. Punchy chilli sauce
Chwee kueh (I like more than Tiong Bahru, Ghim Moh and Bedok). Dong po pork belly and spicy chicken curry from the stall on the outside facing the bank , very good and value for money .
Fish soup with Long queue is very good. Tried the fish head soup which was excellent. Generous portions . Worth the wait.
Tea-break snack from Snow Mount (雪山) stall @ #01-17: Goreng Pisang (Banana Fritters ) & Green Bean Fritters are cheap & good quality, delicious with crispy skin .
Lau Phua Chay Roasted Rice ! The roasted pork was CRISPYYY. Not too fat, tender. The chat siew is sweet and tender. Very good!

Satay bee-hoon. Refined style from Clementi Hong Kee #01-35. Sauce was so finely ground, I could not taste any peanut . Squid was also cooked till soft & tender
The Dong Po Braised Pork at 1-08 is soft and tender and melts in your mouth. Really good.
Soft Food: Tau Huay (豆花) from the traditional specialised stall that has a bigger portion than another stall nearby that has smaller portion at about same price.
Why nobody comment about the you tiao stall next to the Boon Kee wanton noodles ? The butterfly bun is superb and same goes to the you tiao. Ppl always have to queue for YT in the morning. Must try. =D
Busy place after work because it is close to the MRT. But all the good choices you need to queue and wait, while the rest of it are not so impressively tasty.
Simple treat. Fried butterfly fritter & kopi ????
Lor Mee . Kian Seng #01-28 sees queues daily. Nothing outstanding as a bowl, just your average tasty noodles

Chwee kueh at #01-32 is decent if you need to stuff yourself a little more. Opens 630am to 930pm
20 mins wait for the famous porridge store. It doesn't mean that there is no queue visually of people; it comes in a queue of stacked labelled bowls!
Prata . Decent preparation from Sayed Aminah Muslim Food #01-02. Dough was not overly chewy. Dalcha may look harmless but packs a light heat
Satay is awesome. Prepare for the long queue.
Simple, healthy and tasty lunch .
Goreng Pisang from pisang rajah from their own farm . Yummy!!
Popular stalls are the tanglin halt western food and soon lee porridge . Duck rice is not too bad too.
Laksa is pretty good. Fishball noodles were also very decent.
One of the best Pontian Wanton Mee . Ask for Chilli & Tomato sauce , without the black sauce . That is the authentic Pontian Wanton Mee !
Bedok Chwee Kueh! #01-32 old fav. Aunty can get naggy. Just smile. They are fast workers. Seldom need to q for long
Fried carrot cake 01-45 has lost the plot. My serving was mushy & limp. Not queuing up anymore for such inconsistency
Recommeded makans: 文記 wanton noodle , fried hokkien mee , western food , pork porridge , Hainan economic rice , curry puff , satay , claypot curry chicken & Yong tau hu!
