Location, location, location! Metro is one block, capital bikeshare one block, not to mention that everything else is already at a walking distance. Express check-out was pretty cool too!
Beautiful historic hotel . Lots of small suites if you can snag an upgrade. Fantastic location. Had a nice steak in Edgar 's restaurant (as in JE Hoover). Concierge lounge very average.
This is one of the best experiences I've ever had staying in a hotel . Service is great, all the ppl are so nice & helpful and the rooms are HUGE! If ur ever in the DC area, this is the place to stay.
Excellent hotel service. A cleaning maid said she has worked here 24 years and loves it. Said another guy started at age 19 and is still working here 52 years later. Half block to the Metro.
Wonderful historic hotel in the heart of DC. Part of Marriott's Autograph Collection. Walking distance to great restaurants , museums , and other attractions .
Check out Monday nights microbrew draft $3 from 5-7pm w chips & dips @ Edgar Bar & Kitchen, Mayflower itself reminded me of the opulent Millennium Biltmore hotel in LA.
The hotel is home to an on-site floral boutique as well as a gift shop so you're pretty much covered if there's a special occasion you forgot to prepare for.
I used to love this hotel but I think the service has declined over recent years. A very beautiful place but they have to better train their managers in customer service. Gbreviewseverything rating B-
Cool historical and ornate hotel . Lots of old money here. By far not the nicest Marriott staff I have run in to. When I asked the concierge about the hotelshistory I was directed to the gift shop . Wth
Mondays HH microbrew tap; friendly bartender Desi let me taste all three choices. Flying dog is the choice!
The front desk staff are helpful, down to earth, and friendly . The bellmen are sweet. And the rooms are impeccable. Great food nearby.
Great Grand Hotel , doormean nicely decorated rooms, a bit small, a/c unit noisy , close to metro stop, dining, coffee and convenience store (CVS). Quick check-in and check-out. Overall favorable!

The hotel itself is beautiful and very convenient to walking around downtown. But with only a few exceptions, the employees here are some of the rudest I've ever met. I will not be staying here again.
Stay here and attend IT Roadmap Washington, D.C. - a regional one-day technology event that features a full-day conference program, and an expo.http://www.itroadmap.net/WashDC2011
Great hotel in a great location. Staff is very helpful and friendly with anything you need!
Apparently every week the lobby bar has "Tini Tuesdays" where martinis are discounted for a number of hours on Tuesday night!
Well renovated and maintained, classic old hotels . Elevator in the back gets you to some of the rooms faster.
Look up to see goats and slightly evil faces watching you when you check in.
The food in the restaurant was excellent for "hotel " food! Nice surprise! Have an afternoon tea too! Staff very friendly !
Great hotel . Large room. Good service . But a little run down. Wifi access in rooms can be spotty.
Hallways are very loud with doors slamming. Nice place, just very little sound proofing. Very comfortable .
Suites in 2nd floor have a quite special view
The hotel is beautiful. The service is mediocre. Come to experience the beauty and eat elsewhere.
Amazing hotel , great venue for weddings and events (especially since the ballrooms are entrance level and not in the basement ). With love your 2007 Mayflower bride :-)
Cute , pretty, lovely, central, beat, clean hotel
DJ Rich is throwin it down in the State Ballroom ! Congrats to Brittany & George! #weddingDJ
Hit the mezzanine to overlook the lobby.
They charge $175 per wifi connection (after the first one being complimentary ) if you're there HOSTING a conference - whew!
Arugula spinach salad with goat cheese & dates. So good.
Food! People! Culture! Atmosphere!
Great place to sleep, but the restaurant situation is poor. The hotel has no bar (one is alleged to be opening soon); the mezzanine level restaurant they do have is not good for casual time-killing.
Check into room 871 as "George Fox"--or at the very least, drop by the room to see where former Governor of New York Elliot Spitzer became infamous.
Great concierge lounge but need to get the real bar open again! Excellent staff everywhere
Great fitnesd center; variety of weight machines and cardio equipment.
Ask to stay in the room where Elliot Spitzer brought his prostitutes!!
Do NOT take any thing out of your bar fridge if you don't intend on consuming it. You will be automatically charged.
Edgar 's is a great place
The lounge is under construction . Still, lobby is enjoyable for drinks or dining.
Look for online specials and be sure to sign up for a rewards card!
When you check in ask if they have a room with 2 beds - great free upgrade and massive rooms

8th floor secret room rocks!
$12.95/day for Internet. Gym only accessible from rear elevators .
Built in 1924 by architects Warren & Wetmore and Robert Beresford.
One of Lyndon Johnson's inaugural balls was held here. He danced with Harry Truman's daughter Margaret to "I've Got the World on a String."
Amanuel, the concierge , he's just great
It's a okay hotel . But some staff can be unfriendly and inhospitable. Overall, it's a nice place.
Nice place.
Double check that they have your reservation ..ours was mysteriously cancelled. But they did upgrade us!
Breakfast was really nice here.My favorite was the pancakes because they were fluffy and tasted good. Thanks to all the team here for a welcoming atmosphere. - Hamid Alan9ary
Great location and service. Coffee bar every morning is fantastic! - Amanda Bowers
Try the lemonade, its refreshing and fresh squeezed. My second favorite hotel in DC next to The Willard. - John Keating
A great IHG reward night redemption. Close to sightseeing and great restaurants. Can be busy during cherry blossom season. - Elisa
This was a great hotel. The Starbucks is a bit lethargic, but the rest of the hotel is great. - Jack Virdee
The perfect location to when you are in DC. Will be coming back again for sure :) - Zein Samer
Tons of history here. The house looks amazing and the grounds are so well kept. - Karen
Great fries and stack shack the fact that u need to add pepper and salt to make it eatable ???? - Wael J
Outstanding: butternut squash ravioli, corn bread, fried green tomatoes, chicken and waffles, and cocktails. Go to town. - Allison Kasic
