One of the best ramen spots in the city ! I like the pork ramen , the egg is perfect ???? the chicken ramen is good too for its value (whole leg + ramen )
almost two hour wait during weekend- but this is definitely an above average/ good ramen . safe combination of hakata 博多 ramen - pork , egg and noodles !
Got the pork DX and the chicken paitan, would recommend - amazing broth and noodles , if you want paitan though you'll have better luck at Mensho Tokyo
Come at lunch on a weekday to avoid the lines . We tried different small dishes, from fried ???? to pork sliders , everything was delicious ????. Can’t wait to go back to try ramen .
There’s always a line out the door right when it opens so either get there early or come later. Get the pork belly ramen !!
One of those bowls of ramen that's great in all respects: deeply flavorful broth, thin, chewy noodles , toppings cooked to perfection. Note: I thought even medium spicy was too spicy
I had chicken paitan (spicy ) The chicken chashu was poached to perfection,it just melted in my mouth! Nojo(hayes) had deeper flavours in the broth IMO. Definitely worth a try.
Marufuku Ramen, located in Japantown is known to be one of the best ramen in the Bay Area. Try Marufuku's Hakata-style ramen !
The regular Chicken paitan ramen is the best chicken ramen in the city
They only use Yelp for their waitlist, so sign in there 1-2 hours before you arrive. (My wait on a Tuesday was ~2 hours). Once seated, the ramen was just ok. Glad I tried it but wouldn’t go again.
Ramen is good, but the Karaage here is the best I've had in SF. Very reasonably priced too!
Go all in with the hakata dx if you love pork . Perfect meat, perfect broth, perfect soft boiled egg .
The most amazing vegetarian broth and most delicious ramen I've had hands down!
Tonkatsu is delicious. Kakuni melts in your mouth. They forgot my egg so make sure you get what you pay for!
Really good ramen . Even the chicken ramen was delicious (normally easier to mess up)
Love their broth but the wait is so long. They also only use the thin, straight style of noodles
I though I was over tonkotsu ramen , but this one is legit. Line up in Yelp before showing up!
The tonkatsu broth is heavenly - above and beyond. Also the cha-shu. But the overall bowl was ... OK. Egg was overcooked. Noodles were undercooked. Similar for the chicken paitan - amazing broth , but.
Get the hakata deluxe! Best tonkotsu ramen you can get!
My daughter who is 1/4 Japanese, her grandmother is from Fukuoka, loved the ramen !
Super awesome ramen . Best I've had since Japan actually.
Ramen broth had good flavor. Spicy is spicy . I ordered the extra noodles but it was too much.
Solid bowl of ramen but I’m not sure it’s worth the wait
Tonkatsu ramen spicy version is good but I feel others in the city are better.
Excellent ramen spot, good vegetarian options .
Broth is ????????????
Nothing to complain. Ramen is always ????
Fantastic paitan (chicken ramen ).
I’ve had hundreds of ramens in Japan and elsewhere… This one is just a greasy spicy soup , not a ramen unfortunately
The regular chicken paitan is the best.
Great ramen !
Line is ridiculous here. Hakata DX broth not too heavy and noodles very good but meat is better at mensho for sure.
Arguably best ramen in SF (that and Mensho )
Spicy Tan "~Men...so creamy ????
Don't forget to start with Chicken Karaage .
Best chicken ramen in the city ???
It's an ok ramen . Not as good as ones I had in Japan. Booked through Yelp, arrived on the time the app said, and waited *almost an hour* for a table. Not worth it.
Tonkatsu ramen and chicken paitan
Best I've had in SF.
Chashu is awesome here!
Japanese pizza
Pork and Chicken ramen
fffffffffffffffffffff

Just ok ramen & chicken karaage was too greasy. Other hot ramen places much better. No need to return. Too expensive too.
Too crowded , waiters are basically waiting behind you back until they can reuse the desk with the next, waiting guests
Queue early
Japanese crepe has green tea ice cream, red beans, and macha sauce. Delicious! Make sure you add ice cream to any crepe you get. You need to balance out the dry crispy crepe with something creamy - Kelly ????
Great thick soft serve texture. Really enjoyed the limited time hojicha flavor - Angelica W
Japanese style western food, aka yoshoku. Love the curries and gratins. Japanese style pastas are fun too. - Sherry Li
So happy Ippudo and their rich flavorful broths have come to the bay area! Buns any ramen and you will have a solid meal! - Shrutika Sachdev
Vegan ramen with soy milk broth was a different take on ramen, and I actually really enjoyed it! - Sravanti Tekumalla
Lovely decor (baskets for your belongings under the table!), very unique, extremely creamy ramen. Wish they added eggs. Open late. Super friendly. A bit pricey, but worth the try! - Diana Arz
The black sesame seed flavor is pretty good and their mochi is fabulous. - Sarah
Their selection of design and craft books/magazines is outstanding! Everything is oh-so-kawaii =) If you dig Asian cuteness, this is THE place. - ivy♥
The friendly neighborhood theater. While it may have lost the pre-AMC era charm, it's still nice. Screens 7 and 8 in particular are fun because they feel like a big home theater, very intimate. - J T
