Royal Festival Hall stands at the heart of Southbank Centre complex. Opened in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain, the Hall is one of the world’s leading performance venues. As well as the auditorium, the building consists of The Clore Ballroom and the Saison Poetry Library.

If you were looking for a place with tables to study outside of your home, this is a marvelous one. Provided you can work with some noise, but for course. And sometimes with live orchestral music .
Really like concerts here. The movies-with-live-orchestra are also phenomenal. Goosebumps ahead! The 60s architecture has aged well . For seats in level 6 it might be faster to walk up.
One of my favourite quiet places to work (go up as high as you can - plenty of peace and power points), to brainstorm with others (so much space) and to enjoy the free music and dancing at weekends
Good performance space to see London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, front row and second BB row seats give good view but far side of stage can be mildly obscured. Michael Xavier, #SomethingWonderful
A good place to meet friends before a day or night out in London. The interior is very spacious and the outside bar is great overlooking the river .
An impressive performing Arts complex with comfortable seating in and outside all day. A good place to relax after attractions nearby eg London eye. Many restaurants , clean restrooms and free wifi !
I think this is a place that is over looked. It really has a wide variety of taste to offer. I was there for the world photo press exhibition .
Great seats and acoustics for most concerts . Get balcony seats to get a different perspective and sound.
Great views out onto the Thames , come for a quiet drink, to study, to see an impromptu show or visit the poetry library .
Right along the Thames . Make sure to come a little early or stay after. Nice bar to enjoy a few drinks.
Gorgeous concert venue , level 5 has outdoor balcony bars . Spend the extra quids on getting a box, the exclusivity is worth it ???? ????????
Everyone's welcome to help design and build this space for artists and participants to relax in during summer 2012's Festival of the World - like an Olympic Village for those involved in the festival !
My favourite concert hall venue in London, stunning performances . Great bar selection for the intermission :)
Great location on the Southbank. When the sun is shining there is no better place. Gets very very busy though. Inside bar can be faster service plus the do pints
We have been there recently for a concert , great venue, impeccable service , even the bar was able to cope well during the interval.
A great play to work, rest or relax. Lots of tables and sofas , plentiful wi-fi, food and drink galore.
Here you will find the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and London Sinfonietta, as well as hundreds of others! Never a dull moment!
Brilliant view from closest lowest level balcony box.. only bad thing is vs Stall front middle (my preference) is they totally ignore us at the boxes.. :(
Usually something interesting going on. If, like me, your sense of direction is a bit iffy make sure you know where you're supposed to be prior to your visit!
Get a seat on one of the sofas on level 5. Nice space to chill , good place for a date, great place to chat.
The WiFi is a bit of a nightmare. That said, lots of lovely natural light with tremendous amount of seating. Great place to meet and work.
Drink lines can be very long but a great performance space and most seats have a great view
One of the most incredible venues ever. Make sure to book a table at Skylon for a dinner with a view .
If you can tolerate a bit of ambient noise, great place to work (free WiFi !) No power sockets however
Check their website as they often have free mini-concerts or talks prior to a concert .
The best place to have a chat, meet your team, study or read a book , and enjoy the London Spring!
A handy place near Waterloo Station to use the toilet for free, eat your sarnies , and do a bit of work.
Follow unmissable yellow signs for funky, peaceful roof garden and al fresco coffee shop , above Royal Festival Hall, created in conjunction with the Eden Project. Only there until 04 September 2011
My favourite 'out of office ' office . Nice views , peaceful , but just enough hubbub to help you concentrate. The WiFi is patchy, but that's part of the appeal - no distractions.
Free wifi , food options, fabulous views and easy to get to. Top place to meet and work
Skylon restaurant and bar is a lovely place for lunch , with great views over the Thames .
You don't even have to be attending a performance to be able to enjoy this place. A great place to catch up with friends over food or outdoor summer drinks .
My favourite venue for world class classical music in London
The home of B.Supreme, an annual festival celebrating women in hiphop . Expect performances by some of the UK's best female artists and internationals too. Also look out for 'Ladies of Britain'!
Free wifi , comfortable sofas and a nice play to take a rest and wait for a free jazz concert !
The 1960 Eurovision Song Contest was held here, touch the walls and get connected to the Eurovision history. Then take a photo and share the experience!
Nice river view . Great to walk by during morning evening or night
One of my favourite concert venues . And there's free wifi for those who come here during the day.
Great place to follow-up with people. If you want to make the perfect second impression then become a member and take them to the 6th floor member's bar Read more
Great place to work: free wi-fi and if you’re lucky you can get a table near a power socket. Very pricey snacks though.
5th floor is quiet and has a nice terrazas
You have to check out the street market next to the Hall
View , concerts , white wine ????
Absolutely beautiful and wonderful venue. Staff very helpful.
It may be dated and the London philharmonic were too quiet for my liking but it's a great place
Can get very busy!
Make sure to locate the toilets for your floor before going in. Trust me.
London’s only post-war Grade I listed building was opened in 1951 for the Festival of Britain. The hall officially reopened after its renovation in 2007 with a performance by rock legends Motorhead.
Best, most welcoming concert hall/public indoor space, anywhere
Great spaces to set up your temporary office . Take the lift.
It sings! Beautifully. - Paul
Great place to hang out waiting for people and watching the world go by. - Alan Jay
Great place when the sun is shining and it's Pimms O' Clock! Gets very busy in the summertime so get there early for a good spot - Lizzie P
Gorgeous place for concerts. Impressive architecture, also the surrounding buildings are worth a look if you're in the vicinity. - Olivia
Good views even from the Circle stalls. Bar is pricey, but that's too be expected. Good sound, great for stand up and just across the road from Hammersmith tube - Dani
Highly recommend for gathering with friend and family after seeing the art exhibition. Nice atmosphere and enough sofas to relax on. - Elyse Yang
One of the best experiences in London! I really recommend to get it and see the Skyline. Could be better to take it at night. - Enrique Tamborero @etamborero
It's free, a lot of space, very nice exhibitions for every taste. One of the best art galeries I've ever visited - Peter van Kampen
